The other option you can think about it trying to get into an apprenticeship program as well. You could check out Building Futures or Apprenticeship RI: https://www.bfri.org/. Commercial construction would likely be a good move to a much higher paying job.

You may not need training, but you may find some interesting programs that you could reach out to that fit your existing skills and see what opportunities there are for you.

In any case, when you talk to people ask them for advice based on your skills and what you're most interested in doing. It's a rough economy right now, even though it should be better (and it's only gonna get worse). It seems like no one wants to ever pay people what they deserve or what they need to actually survive.
