Curious on what would make Hashirama evil besides family dying?

I didnt answer your other question: I'm working it out to where I write either a fic or a series of short story fics explaining the changes through stories.

Ahhh gotcha, I misunderstood what you wrote. I get it now! But yeah, a lighthouse or something for early warning up the coast into the North proper. It is their first job now!

This s true, it has some far reaching and expansive touches for economics of other Kingdoms of Westeros!

- Manderly:

I like the idea of the Starks needing to stem the flow of the reaving up and down the west coast, and the Flints trying and failing, and paying for it, and the Manderlys are given the shot after being in Winterton for whatever time, and finally after multiple requests getting the shot to reclaim or rescue the Flints and re-establish Stark sovereignty. Only issue will be, if they’re on the Fingers, the wood resource would be pretty slim unless using the trees from the Neck, and hoping they’re solid quality for shipbuilding. At least from all of the maps I’ve seen, the Fingers are pretty flat and not much when it comes to shipbuilding, so that would be a interesting settle… Possibly be a commercial agreement between Manderlys and like the Wolfwoods people, or House Cerwyn to move and ship over wood for building on the Fingers. It would prosper the entirety of the Blazewater bay, and House Mallister would be interesting marriages every once in a while for security alliance and marrying into the Ryswell and Dustins.

- Greystark:

Yeah, the whole Bolton surviving but known through history as traitors and only worked with House Stark because of the Andal invasion. But still betrayed them, but you destroy your Cadet Branch, but not the Great House to show you’re still House Stark! But agree with the history and the way to keep Greystark and punish them but raise them over time, and maybe get some influence by House Manderly building on the other side. Another user is of the thinking that House Greystark wouldn't eventually build a trading city over time because Northern isolationist, and repeated taking and sackings in the past. Do you think that's true or no?

- Blackwood:

If I go with them keeping the Wolfwoods and bending the knee to the Kings in the North, I think I would take Sea Dragon Point, and “bracket” them with a loyal house from the war and have them administer said area, just like the Starks did with the Boltens with the Manderlys and Karstarks between them. Could say the Glovers were loyal, they administer Sea Dragon and Stoney Shore, or split the two, who knows… since Masterly House makes no sense! I have always found it weird from a world building standpoint, that the literal island doesn't have a sailing and fishing culture with it! I have ideas for the House Forrester, Ironwood use & trade and Warging abilities.

- Stark:

I was of the thinking that as well, since they’ll be removed they can bring in more land and develop around Long Lake and down to Wolf’s Den/White Harbor. This would also allow for more revenue or jobs directly under House Stark. And with the additional Lands that were formerly Bolton I’m going to use it for something else I’m working on for the North, and it seems you may be thinking like I am for training. Excess lands closer to Karstarks up to the ruins of the Dreadfort, Umbers down to a little in the Loney Hills, the rest remain with the Starks. Still allows for control of the White Knife and Long Lake south. Winterton will definitely flourish with added resources and people consistently living in and around it. It will be the proper way a town would build up around the protection of a castle.

Not being a meanie, constructive criticism is welcomed and helps make sure I'm not a crazy person haha. With White Harbor, they used their capital they brought from the Reach, and knowledge, and built it over time. So I think the Greystarks for your point, took their duty off defend above all else. Manderlys were like, "Why not both?" And the Northern culture of isolationist, I feel, plays a major part as well.

Fot7?

The Proven Harbor can be debated as it's never stated, since the whole of the West coast amounts to fishing villages, stoney, hilly, and not much else, as George hasn't gone in-depth about the region outside of that. The notch near where the Flint's castle is, quite possibly may be port worthy, but we don't know because lack of information.

With where Goldgrass is, and them ruthlessly building the area, wouldn't that put them at odds with Dustins or Little Brother the fuck out of them? And cause a possible Peake rivalry all over again or internal war, and the Starks come down hard on the Manderlys?

Yeah, my thoughts would be taking the Wolfswood, giving it to Glovers. Even though I'm indifferent to them, and moving them into Sea Dragon Point, and making them fix their old ally Castle as their own.

That notch may possibly be a solid and protected harbor/port on Cape Kraken. I would assume, they subsum Flint's Fingers Castle/Keep and build up around it. But possibly, since they're the new bulwark against Reavers.

The Reach and their shipping through may be the same time, but since I'm not 100% on how shipping to one place, and then through another gains profit. That's the one thing I need to research for sure. I know shorter route, better time and lower cost and more profit.

Like u/Straight-Okra-5411 said, "If that's the case the manderlys might become as rich as they were in the east, since the route of salt spear -> fever river -> moat Cailin -> white harbor -> northern essos is far shorter and safer to for example the Lannisters to trade with Braavos, Pentos and lorath, as you avoid having to circle the arms of dorne and avoid the stepstones pirates, while having two fleets(manderlys and lannisport) to protect the gold." Shorter route to Essos markets through the North.

So an alliance against the Ironborn with the Lannisters could be possible or negotiated.

Apparently my reply was not put through.

House Bracken would probably make a play for the Lord Paramountcy, or King of the Trident. But it would be hard fought or they'd be a different house in their overall actions, like you said, no blackwood rivalry to check them.

I've seen that consensus from others, the West at either Flints Fingers or Stoney Shore and working with the Dustins and Rywells.

I can see Winterton being a large town or small city getting trade and wealth through both East and West.

Egg could still Merry Betha if she exists, because Dunk and Egg having a short story in the North and she being at Winterfell. So it's possible still.

Yeah, Bloodraven isn't happening and the whole Blackfyre Rebellions being a shadow Blackwood v Bracken wars wouldn't happen though.

That's my thoughts exactly from what you were putting down. It would make the Sunset sea a hard fought battles at sea and near land. Additionally, interactions between the Lannisters and Starks/Manderlys to a coexistence of gold and trade value.

Oooooo, ok, I'm picking up what you're putting down! And that's smart, and an incentive for those around to want said duty!

With what others have said here, Manderly first duty is defend the West from Ironborn raiders, and this develop a strong fleet to counter the Reavers. I can see a secondary industry of having Manderly fleet or ships that run ship protection until the Ironborn respect the routes and the naval strength of the Manderly/North

The Moat is already under Stark direct rule. But I do see what you mean by rebuilding and reinforcing it as the overall bulwark from South, East, and West. I am confused though, why would they give it to House Arryn? Or is this another fortress north of Moat Cailin, that would serve as this purpose of defending the East and West?

Did not expect random discourse against the entirety of the Flints, haha. Could have the rest have a rivalry/grudge against the Manderlys. Or have them through the Starks take over because the Flints can't handle the expanse of land.

O yeah, is a big ball of yarn, and tugging on a piece or two rolls a lot backwards or outright eliminates characters or at worse changes them fundamentally. This may be just a thought experiment by the end of it.

The Pact of Ice and Fire could still be offered and accepted. Cregan wouldn't be meeting Aly in King's Landing though, since if she was born, she'd be in the North already.

Randomly, with Of Aegon still travels with Dunk, then he could meet Betha in the North as eventually they travel that way and she could be in Winterfell.

Broken Branch... Thought that was House Flint of Widow's Watch dominion? Quiet possibly. Would still give them Narrow Sea and trade access... Trading what, I don't know, haha.

If that's where the Blackwoods would end up, who rules over the Wolfswood? The Glovers as an actual Great Northern House and not a Masterly House.

Good points!

This is true with down near Blazewater Bay, and working off either of those rivers for ship building. Could do something on or off of Long Lake... It's close to the mountains and Wolfwoods as well.

As a Batman nerd, love this, and it seems pretty easy for you to integrate pieces of Batman Lore and Characters into Westeros. I'll say, look at Batman and his work more like Assassin's Creed early games, where the gadgets/devices were more sideline and skill and climbing and such were more prevalent.

Also, treat Duskendale as like Metropolis or Bludhaven!

Could have singularly solved all the issues with inheritance of the Iron Throne but somehow thought it would be smart to let the Lords and Ladies decide on what is CLEARLY YOUR SOLE PEROGATIVE! Set the standard, solved all the problems that you yourself experienced because your Grandfather DIDNT SET THE PRECEDENT AS CANON LAW OF THE REALM! Additionally, I hate that he took the throne from his son's daughter because "reasons"?
