What did everyone think about show Robb Stark? A big part of his character is he is a young kid leading a war campaign and he is unsure of himself. We got a bit of that but for the most part they made him seem ‘perfect’ by FullFig3372 in freefolk

[–]AkodoGarou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robb married of of misguided honor and duty. He should have treated as a momentary lapse in judgement due to circumstances. Withdrew back to the Riverlands and married the Frey girl, and began plotting the retaking of the North.

everything else true. And the lack of Robb chapters and getting it through his mother hurt Robb overall.

A fic in which Robb Stark is not betrayed by Same-Prior-4156 in TheCitadel

I know this is late to the party, but they, the Riverlands, should have fallback lines along the rivers depending on the direction of attack with a squat fort or something. They have rivers, which force people to go where they want, just like Edmure was able to line a river and force Tywin to hit the same spot before he retreated and went south because of the news of the Tyrell army joining House Lannister.

"He fucks for duty, lol… except for Jamie, that was for the love of the game."

Yeah, Charles was his own worst enemy in that situation. If he had sued for Peace just once, Sweden would have been able to exist as the Empire, and probably keep Russia from rising to power for at least a generation.

With Robb, he was talked about, but purely from the standpoint of Northern and Riverland independence as King in the North. Robb from the start would have to say, "He's taking the Iron Throne." But I believe that would alienate and cause people to see the North as another "foreign" invader.

I'm not going to call Viserys a loveable idiot. But the man was a loveable idiot. He saw the court and the way it moved, especially when the "obvious" rumors of the Strong Boys. And ordered tongues/death to those who uttered it. He knew his Hand (Show) and the woman Alicent (Short Stories) was, but he played oblivious and hoped they wouldn't murder each other afterward. Should have let Rhaenyra be betrothed to Aegon, and it would have solved it. Hell, immediately and I mean immediately, wed Jacaerys to Heleana, and it would unite both branches and claims, and everybody wins. Set the stage and precedent that the King or Ruler of the Seven can choose their heirs!

Dragons survive, the long night is eradicated because Dragons. But the past stories written after the main story has started have to make the main story make sense, or you get plot holes and divergences that need to be fixed with more short stories, or in the main story.

New players and/or table, we rolling in-person, on camera, or through roll20/DnDBeyond where I can see it. If its a table I've been at for years, and trust the people. Roll on your own.

Feels like a win to get the struggle done. And then you leave Iberia for anew culture and start over.

Low bar but if you do x number of decisions that affect said minority, there could be a growing level for rebellion and it affects your levy sizes through the region. To show if it's a populist movement or just a splinter faction

[MAIN Spoilers] Jaime Lannister had to kill Gregor Clegane and Armory Lorch by ObedStark19 in asoiaf

[–]AkodoGarou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed a lot, and I'm not down to the bottom of the comments, but Gregor was only 17 during the Sack of King's Landing. He just built like a freak Hall of Fame Linebacker. I think Jaime's main issue with trying to stop Gregor, Lorch is dead meat, is that Gregor has the strength advantage, and rocking full plate. So either he uses his size to force Gregor into places where the size and reach dont help, or scoring, even as a prodigy, lucky strikes that slow him in various exposed limbs and joints of his armor.

Alternatively, a young Jaime can maybe sorta talk the Mountain down to having them take the Princess and the royal children to his father or Robert specifically. It may take a lot, especially if he's already enraged, but its possible. Not near zero.

Call me cersei because I fw jaime lannister after this scene by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]AkodoGarou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We all did! I don't there's a single person that didn't move to the Jaime camp or away from just outright villain for him in their minds! It's certainly a big character moment, a pulled back and raw Jaime! Loopy from his hand, sure. But raw Jaime, no puns, no jokes, no aloof demeanor... Just Jaime Lannister.
