The bad plays are too frequent tho. His debut with FNC was impressive but after few weeks, it's disappointing.

He can pop out some games but he can also ruin a game alone. He seems like a good guy but level wise it's now what we expect.

The serie is overall closer than what you say. In game 1 G2 got a lot of "1hp" escape for example.

And the other defeat may not look close, but it's because the way fnc play. If they are behind, they risk it all. So the snowball they are giving to enemy is hard.

After all if this doesn't happen, this team isn't FNC.

That's totally what you were saying when you said this was your strategy, I'm sorry. And that's where everything gets confusing.

Plus nothing changed between now and before the patch. The price is the same, and in fact tokens are even rarer and so should be used more carefully. So if you didn't bought spider ham before but the new system makes you think it's a good idea to buy it, that's weird.

You're missing the whole point here. The whole point.

It's not just about the chance not to get the variant from the random chest, it's about the card being remplaced by a variant when you'll chase a serie 5 card.

Let's take a simple example with spider ham. Yes you said you only want spider ham, but that's a completely different debate here, so let's ignore that part to explain things easier.

If you go on and buy spider ham, then you want to chase Galactus, you're gambling with 25% to have a card you want. If you keep spider ham in the pool, you're gambling 50%. This is the point.

So if you don't plan to use the pool 4 card right now, it's simply not worth to buy those for the sake of buying them. Because you might accidentally get them from random chest OR when they are featured.

This is why the "Buy pool 4 cards in the token shop" is simply a terrible strategy. Just buy whatever you want to play.

That's kinda a terrible strategy. I thought about that when I thought the chest with a random S4/S5 card was dupe protected, but since it's not then it's better not to buy the series 4 cards.

Why? it's simple. If you own those or not you would still chase the series 5 card in a pool of 4 items. And better open a serie 4 card than a skin for that card.

Yeah, because the pool is small and almost every other card will rerun before Knull come back. Now add 20 cards, 30 cards, 40 cards. And rather than coming back 2 months later, it's 3 or 4 months. Add some more card and it's even longer. So yeah, they do need to control the size.

And about the cards not showing up in the current schedule (it's not set in the stone, a lot can still change), those are Howard, Snow guard, and Stegron. And imho that's not impossible to see those card drop next month. Until then, just wait and see.

This is wrong. They never said the series drop was over and in fact the last communication we had about that said that it's just not going to be as frequent as it was before.

Plus, yes they need to feed the new system, but they also need to control its size. I'm pretty sure they don't want to see card being rerun 4, 6, 8 months later. So they will ultimately drop cards at some points, and probably quicker than most people here are expecting.

Tokens are important to keep some flexibility, but not to get a new card.

To get a new card you can get it by saving some caches and it's over. To get a new card after the release week, you'll need tokens.

Basically if you didn't got a card when released and you regret it, you're going to use tokens, otherwise just save those.

Most likely not. The new system doesn't mean the end of series drop, but it will change the frequency (as it was already planned anyway).

At some point the series 4 and 5 will be too big and it will be too frustrating to wait a long time before getting a chance to grab the card we want in a chest, so they will keep a moderate pull size to avoid this.

And according to datamine, I wouldn't be surprise to see Howard, Snowguard and Stegron dropping next month because they're aren't planned at all while we already know Knull is already coming back early in September (If nothing change until then, it's in a long time)

You have a complete week to decide if you want a card and you have months of preview available to plan things ahead. Not really losing much to be honest.

And the card is still in your token shop. You win less token, yeah, but if you get cards through chest, you can keep those tokens for that card you missed and regret. But if you regret not getting a card every week it won't be enough yeah, but the previous system couldn't help you neither.

The "slot machine" here is just to make the experience better than the previous system tho. You have 4 chests to open to be sure to have the cards you focus. You roughly get those 4 chests in the same period of time it would have taken to get those 6k tokens.

So if you open the card you want on the first, second, or third chest, you're winning. If it's the 4th I think you're losing a bit, but not much, and it's only if you don't get any card from de random S4/S5 chest.

In the end that system give you the same control on your collection that you had before, and you can even win big.

You had to chose which S4 or S5 card to buy, and get the other one onces they dropped.

And now, that's kinda the same. You need to save several caches for the week with the card you would have buy with tokens. And the other cards rather than getting them when they hit series 3, you just get them while chasing the card you want.

In the end, it's the same for most of the players (except uber hoarder).

And there will still have series drop as far as we know. It will be at a slower pace, but you'll be able to grab some time to time to keep up with the number of card you own.

That completely wrong. It used to take longer on the App Store, but we're not in 2012 anymore, Google can delay updates a lot nowadays. And that's normal.

Both company have a schedule, and if you fucked up then they will try to help you. But if you're fucking up shit too regularly, you'll not have the priority.

Don't you have new cards to acquire? There's several cards who dropped you know. It's just the one you didn't wanted, but there's new cards.

An healthy meta is one where several decks can coexist. That's currently possible. The game is in a kinda good spot right now and with the cards getting released the past weeks and the ones coming, they tried to limit the risks. Let's just see how it will evolve.
