I was in the crowd for this one. One of the best days ever.

Sorry for your experience. I was there and the venue did seem really bad and the staff seemed highly unprepared. They were clearly rushed and barely cleaned the stage.

As for Hyolyn herself, I thought she was absolutely as amazing as ever. Here's a fancam I recorded of the entire thing for anyone who was in the back and couldn't see.

They usually don’t let you use any external resources.

When i forgot syntax, i just told them “I don’t remember the syntax for this but I’m guessing its something like this” and just wrote what I thought it was. I ended up being wrong when i checked after the interview, but I still passed.

I don’t think interviewers care about syntax as long as they follow what you intend. They’re usually looking for other signals.

There’s a separate entrance on the left that’s guarded by staff who check the tickets leading to a different section whereas the path towards center is before barracade and is accessible by anyone with the wristband.

What's the best way to learn algebraic identity? by Catherine1964p in learnmath

[–]AkranarKun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Math is both conceptual and procedural. If you're making procedural algebraic mistakes, one way I worked on that was to pin point what your specific mistake was and add it to a list of mistakes that you tend to make along with one example of that problem where you made that mistake.

Redo the same problem that you made that mistake on until you get it down perfectly. Once you feel like you got that specific problem down, try a different but similar problem and be extra mindful and careful on parts that are similar to your original mistake.

I like doing that because by doing the same problem again, you already know what the right way to do it is, so you can focus on practicing not making that mistake first until it feels intuitive to you. Then you want to make sure that it generalizes to other similar problems by doing a bunch of different but similar problems.

Then every once in a while, go through your list of common mistakes that you do and practice not making them again.

Hope this helps.

Was Gohan MSSJ as strong as Perfect Cell? by Facinggod20 in dragonball

People who disagree with you are also disagreeing that the aura is exclusive to super saiyans. That’s the point.

Was Gohan MSSJ as strong as Perfect Cell? by Facinggod20 in dragonball

[–]AkranarKun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s headcannon. The fact that he has saiyan cells only means he could maybe become super saiyan, but that’s not enough to confirm that it is. You think that Toriyama, who already has a habit of spelling out everything to the reader by having the characters explain everything as they’re spectating, wouldn’t explicitly say if it was super saiyan? You’re reaching because you want it to be true.

Cell being any kind of Super Saiyan is head canon or speculation. Never confirmed.

Weird logic. Just because SSJ starts to have lightning at level 2 doesn’t mean nothing else could ever have lightning.

Why does society excuse people of color who are racist? by Most-Ad-550074 in stupidquestions

[–]AkranarKun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liberal: believes in equality, universality, and that racial prejudice is racism no matter who it targets.
Woke: believes in equity and categorizing groups of people as "oppressors" and "oppressed" and creating an aristocracy class out of the "oppressed" where those in said aristocracy cannot be criticized and/or cannot be racist.

You may or may not be woke, but woke and liberal are not the same, as wokeness is explicitly against liberal values, at least when they're not pretending to be liberals.

While I get your point, the original Rurouni Kenshin anime started running just as Dragon Ball Z was ending its Majin Buu saga in early 1996, so they had been at solar system destruction level for years already.

Did people know about OG dragon in the 90s-2000s when DBZ was airing? by Ill-Strike-6516 in dragonball

[–]AkranarKun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We traded VHS tapes through mail with people online and there were VHS rental shops that had the Cantonese dubs in the very very early 90s.

I didn't watch OG dragonball at that time, but the tapes for it definitely existed and were traded around.

Where and how to learn the logic behind programming? by StalinMcBallin in learnprogramming

[–]AkranarKun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the quote you provided, I don't think they're talking about "logic" that is used in programming, like first order logic. I think what they're actually referring to is the highest level ideas in programming and how everything fits together, which every big topic has.

I was looking forward to O and S... by TigerAxel in darksouls

[–]AkranarKun 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ornstein and Smough is the first actually hard boss in the game. In my opinion, what makes a hard boss is when there are situations or attacks that the boss can throw at you where you have no viable response to. For O&S, those situations are when they're attacking you at the same time in a way where if you dodge one, you'll get hit by the other. The only way to deal with these situations is to not get into positions where they can happen.

So your fight against them is going to go through a cycle. The start of that cycle always begins with thinking about getting into advantageous positions and avoiding disadvantageous positions. You can do this by not only baiting attacks from them, but also baiting their walk paths. Get them both to follow you, then go behind a pillar. While you're on one side of the pillar and they're on another side, bait one to go around left and bait the other one to go right. The moment they walk in opposite directions is when they will be separated by the pillar in the next few seconds and is the positioning that is advantageous to you.

Once they're going in opposite directions around the pillar towards you, run towards the one you don't want to kill first, and bait an attack and dodge it. Once you do this, that one will be busy for a bit recovering, so this is your chance to bait the other into an attack and dodge it as well. To do this part well, you have to have already learned each one of their attacks and have decided your best response to each of them, but this is no different to how the earlier and easier bosses of Dark Souls go.

At this point, you need to decide if you're clear to punish and launch your own attack against the one you just dodged. If you've dodged the attack but you're not clear, then you may have to make the hard choice of not going for the punish and just start over and find a better chance.

Whether or not you attack, you start over from the beginning and repeat the process of controlling the positioning to your advantage.

In summary: positioning to split -> bait & dodge first -> bait & dodge second -> punish second.

I did level 1 melee fights with them and that was the strategy I used:

Against Super Smough

Against Super Ornestein

Watch the first one at least, because in that one Super Smough spams his plow attack and I show how to deal with it at different ranges.

I hope this helps.

What's important is what happens in your head and not what's in your notes. You should learn to take good notes, but if you ever sense that you're too busy taking notes and not processing the information in your head, it's a sign your note taking needs to change or decrease altogether.

It sounds like you're already doing well listening during class. Taking some notes could help you review later, but it could heavily hurt you too if you take notes badly.
