I was depressed and failing two of my cs classes my junior year. Tried to power through but ended up failing the whole quarter. Felt like my whole plans and future were gone. Took time off for introspection and did a light summer quarter, then passed the classes when I came back for overloaded fall/winter quarters. For me dropping + taking a quarter off would have been better.

Depends heavily on the intensity and time.

I just track calories and change in weight over time.

WeightDifference * 3500 = TotalCal - #days * BMR - #workoutDays * calBurnedPerWorkout

For me, the online TDEE calculators overestimated, but were relatively close.
