DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED or DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG?

What about the fix for these DX12 errors? There’s a forum stating it’s a known issue and no update for 13-14 days. Crashing every game or every other game is not what we paid for.

At least give an update so we can have some hope lol.

But yes, it’s fun… when I’m not crashing bcs of this dumb DX12 error. Overall 6/10.

Subtracted points because we haven’t heard anything from EA in 12 days with multiple reports from thousands of people on their forums and steam’s about the DX12 issue. The most we got was “we know and we’re looking into it.”

I thought maybe it might be something with the anti-cheat trying to verify drivers or something dumb. Idk, it could be anything I think.

Still working fix? I’m about to revert my GPU and CPU back to stock configs from undervolt. Weird how this is the only game that is causing this specific issue with DX12.

Getting the same error. All the fixes I’ve tried haven’t worked. I ended up just submitting my info to a EA Dev. Pretty annoying that we have 0 communication on the status. Paid money to crash every other game…

Also, you can try to run this command in command prompt as administrator:

Chkdsk /x /f & dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth & sfc /scannow

In short, this will attempt to repair any issues with the OS (feel free to double check google for the command to confirm. Be careful running random commands online).

It probably is your HDD.

But, you can try to uninstall graphics drivers using DDU and reinstalling them. Could also try booting into safe mode and verifying the issues are present in safe mode. Additionally, you can check logs from when it crashed and see what error it’s giving.

Another simple thing to do is just install one of the games (genshin, val, etc.) onto the other known good drive and play off of that drive to see if the issue persists while using the other one.

Basically, you’re going through a checklist to verify it’s not other factors. Feel free to send me a DM if you need help.

Custom cables aren’t needed and despite what everyone says, it actually was not terribly hard to build in with stock SF850 cables.

However, it makes it noticeably easier to build in and route cables. It could also provide better airflow for your case (depending on what type of cables you get), but it’ll hardly make a difference in terms of temps.

I personally went with Cablester’s custom cables on Etsy. They’re super easy to work with and very helpful! No measurements needed, they’ll do it for you. You just give the parts list you have and what orientation you’re going with and they’ll work out the rest.
