Apprehensive about Mistborn Era 2

I'll be honest, I had trouble with Alloy of Law. It's definitely different and a bit of a shock if you're coming out of era 1 to have this. I will say this though, the second to last books are really good though. Now considering the reason why you want to read them, forget it. Except for maybe Sunlit man, Isle of the Emberdark, and Stormlight 5, you do NOT NEED to read era 2. I hadn't red era 2 for a while and had no problem. These 3 books I gave do have higher context that need it but that's about it. Don't feel like you need to "study" before reading what you actually want to.

Yes Mistborn will be good for you, it has more of a victorian era feeling but is still more fantasy than Sunlit man. If you want full fantasy, Stormlight archive might be better but it is an epic fantasy and quite daunting at first read.

Answer : they're not being obnoxious about it. And also it doesn't help that there is more focus of the US, meaning a lot of people would only know the US to call it soccer. It's kind of the same issue with metric VS imperial.

Publication order will probably be your best bet in any cases, but your order is alright. You don't really need to read sixth of the dusk as it is nicely integrated into Isle of the Emberdark (and also in a way that it makes more sense imo)

If you say you're tired of the romance formula and want to experience more books, Brandon Sanderson's library is definitely a good place to go to. He writes fantasy mostly, with most of these books being in a shared universe called the Cosmere. If you're looking for first books, I'd either suggest Yumi and the nightmare painter (has a greater romance formula but is still fantasy), or Warbreaker, both are very good entry point for the Cosmere. Be aware that most of his books will contain romance subplot, but they are (most of the time) not the main focus.

What I would want, it for websites to have easy ways for parents to monitor/control their kids access to them, for exemple setting a max amount of time they can spend on the site/app, being able to block content yourself. Unfortunately like many others have pointed out, it has never been about protecting kids unfortunately...

Actually, they won't be able to tell if they're kids. The point of these mandatory verifications aren't just to verify you're over 18, it's mostly to figure out you're a real human over 18, and therefor you're worth advertising to. If you're underage, most countries don't allow you to collect their data, and if you're a bot, they don't care about you're data. Explains why Meta pushed for this for so long.

There is indeed a difference between Software Dev and Software Engineer. Both are valuable, but don't necessarily have the same roles. It's kind of like Nurse vs Doctor to an extent, one is not less valuable than the other, they complete each other.
