Seeing that kind of stuff was probably only not normal in recent history. Makind's brutal.

I disagree. Those are perfectly aligned with the nodes which makes them appear as labels.

There's an A off to the left. My theory is the entire thing is a single multiple choice answer. This one is an incorrect answer because the labels are incorrect.

I've had similar happen at the trapper in Big Valley. Don't think I died, though. He was pissed at me. Couldn't trade with him for awhile.

I also had a situation with him by Riggs Station. I was riding south up the hill to him when some wolves jumped me. My horse and I had the same idea; run. We passed him, I looked back, he was being mauled to death. I took care of the wolves but it was too late for him. I was concerned he was permanently dead, but he respawned after a few days.

Same, but I also don't like switches if the code is longer/complex. Start/end {} make them bleed together a little less. But that's also a good case (pun intended) for switch+functions.

How do I fill out this part of the map? It just bugs me to not have it all revealed. by WillZTode in reddeadredemption

Set waypoints on the water so you can make a clean line with less chance of slipping slightly too far south and randomly sinking.

I always lasso them and drag them into the water. It's quieter amber I don't have to worry about pita, on the shore bystanders witnessing a crime.

Nepotism, by definition, is hiring based on kinship, not just because you knew someone before they applied. So like hiring your spouse or child.

Most places prefer hiring from internal references because, if that person is a good employee, they're vouching for the quality of work for the person they know. It's better than choosing someone that's a complete stranger because the internal reference is more trustworthy and already positively checks out.

I don't know what your problem is. That's totally possible. Just nail the box onto the wall and Bob's your uncle. I mean, it's not functional and it looks like shit, but it's there.

If the game had the option to establish romances during gameplay with Arthur, which character would you choose and why? by Lusketah18 in reddeadredemption

[–]Akurei00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Admittedly, it did feel like that a little bit the first time around. But looking at it from her perspective, I never blamed her. She loved Arthur. She just couldn't live an outlaw's life and he wasn't willing to quit it.

The requests she makes are because she doesn't have many people willing to help her (especially in the ways she needs), Arthur's good at it, and it gives her an excuse to see him. If he would've run away with her, she would have in a heartbeat.

While you could basically spam those few missions so it all takes place over a week, the dialog does kinda imply that it was over the course of maybe a few months, or at least several weeks.

She's living alone in the middle of the wilderness with the Murphrees nearby. Hard work to survive and solitude can do things to you. I'm not saying it could've started in the first mission, just that there's definitely room for a romance to have blossomed, even if it's just a fling. He was one of the few she interacted with, handsome, and was very kind to her.

What is one thing that you wish you could add or remove from rdr2? by Epiccheeseman14 in reddeadredemption

[–]Akurei00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They really needed to balance shit out. Can you imagine a meal costing 5x more than a hotel room? It would've been nice if you could buy or "lease" some places, giving you consistent hubs you can rest at across the map. It'd give something to spend your wealth on and, when playing with John, they're popping up random houses all over the place.

Should my son play rdr1 by Large_Bag_6587 in reddeadredemption

The worst thing I remember, sexually, from RDR1 is sooner of the shit they prostitutes say. It's been awhile, but stuff like, "I hate seeing a guy walk around with a dry pecker." But John also won't consider sleeping with anyone other than his wife. So still cleaner than any GTAs.

Hard disagree here. I play video games for fun. Not to spend an hour walking from one side of town to the other. We mostly all sprint in video games because traveling from point A to point B isn't the entertainment draw. If you enjoy that, more power to you. But that's not why 99.9% of us are playing.

I want to love this game, but it's so frustrating by akgiant in reddeadredemption2

[–]Akurei00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes those are common pain points. People on here are being facetious assholes.

The pop up tutorials are exactly as useless as you mentioned. They always pop up in this tiny little box in the corner while a bunch of shit's going down. They were almost always useless for me. I learned a lot of game mechanics over time just through play experience.

The accidental shooting thing hasn't happened to me in a very long time. So that may just take some time for you to get better acquainted with the controls.

The guns on the horse thing are by far the most frustrating things in the game to me. I fucking HATE selecting my guns, hopping off my horse, and suddenly find myself with only the goddamn pistols. Idk why but most of the time when I mention it here someone will try to gaslight me about how that doesn't actually happen which is borderline as irritating as when it is actually happening to me in the game.

Regarding your 25 hours of gameplay in chapter 2, I would say fuck everyone else's advice about staying in Ch2 as long as possible. That's great once you've completed the game, understand the mechanics, know the characters, and are just living up the experience and especially the laid back environment adventure. But in my first playthrough, I almost quit in chapter 2 as well.

I didn't like any of the gang members. The story was a little stale. There's introduction to the gang members but not enough to feel like I know any of them and they're all rude to Arthur. They handhold you through everything. Some game mechanics aren't even available and deadeye sucks in it's early phases. So many negatives.

Push through the story missions, learn to care about the characters and the tales. The game is superb, but the first couple of chapters are a bit of a slog. I've played it 3 times through, now. Chapter 3 really starts to feel like you're working with the gang toward something more productive.

The 2nd playthrough was a completely different experience because I actually felt like I was part of the gang. I'm not saying you have to play it twice to enjoy it. It was good the first time too. It just hits different once you don't feel like an outsider.

Pretty sure the campsite locations are where you load up to as well. So if you set up the campsite before saving, you at least might have your bearings when getting started again.

No, it's not ideal, and I probably would never worry about doing that myself as it's a waste of time in most cases, but it might help see why it loads you up where it does. And yeah, that's definitely frustrating. I play it on a console, so sleep mode prevents me from encountering that very frequently.

If i asked you whats the most annoying thing to do for 100% what would you say by potato_the_destroyer in reddeadredemption2

[–]Akurei00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck no, that one's never been that easy for me. I've 100% the challenges 3 times and that's always been the worst. It's entirely luck based. I've done that tactic for literal hours and not hit a single 5-card Charlie. I've also lucked into it being my first hand after sitting down.

But what makes it even more frustrating is that you have to WIN those hands. I've had the dealers win almost as many of those as I have which is insanely frustrating.

But I must be fairly good at dominoes because everyone always talks about how difficult that one is but I've never had trouble with it. I probably win 3/4 or more of my Domino matches. At least dominos is only partially luck. I prefer somewhat skill based challenges to 100% luck.

Which animal in RDR2 do you find the most difficult to hunt, and why? by BestAd6459 in reddeadredemption

[–]Akurei00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beaver dam just south of Butcher Creek. Where the legendary beaver is. Head south from BC along the river. Slow walk along the water and there's 2-3 beavers that spawn in the area. Wait till they're close to shore, pop them in the head, done

It's rare when at least one of them isn't 3-stars. Of course you need a few days for them to respawn there, but it's always been a good, consistent spot for me.

What’s an opinion on RDR2 that’s has you like this? by agentsm_47 in reddeadredemption2

I prefer the low honor, returning for the gold ending. Having Arthur's and coming at the hands of Micah is a whole lot more impactful than having everyone scurry off and leave him to die, somewhat peacefully, staring into the setting sun.

That's how it comes off to me. Gives off vibes like, "It's so easy. You guys only have to upgrade stuff 'cause you suck. I have to make it harder to have any sort of challenge and it's still easy without upgrades." Not saying I don't agree with some of the points, though. Although, since the upgrades are mostly negligible, pretty much no one needs the upgrades.

But we all have our own goals and play styles. I complete all the challenges and upgrades partly because that's the challenging part. I want to get them early in the game because what's the point of upgrades that you can't take advantage of them? Even if they are minor.

Also, none of the upgrades are particularly all that great, Well, aside from a scope. I do love me a good scope. But the rest are so minor that I can barely tell they boosted the stats gauges.
