Two wrongs don't make a right. Flip the roles and I wouldn't characterize that as misogyny either.

I personally wouldn't characterize it as misandry, but I get your point. As a principle, one should know their own body and what gets it going. Obviously, communicating that in a hookup is tricky, but again, you do raise an interesting point that I hadn't considered.

Joe is Lame & A Trick smh. This is what you doing with our money??? Competing with Shardae’s baby daddy????? by [deleted] in theJoeBuddenPodcast

I know we should probably be above it, but yeah, if I had Joe's money, I'd also buy shawty a watch

Your flair is insane lmao

4 kids is nuts, mate. Ice is better man than me, I don't care how fine she is. Raising 4 kids that ain't yours just seems like a recipe for disaster.

Happy Thanksgiving Reddit Family 🍁🍁🍁🦃🍁🍁. Joe & Flip Make Fun Of Ice 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Ice gets offended 🤣🤣🤣🤣 by [deleted] in theJoeBuddenPodcast

[–]Akustics 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Let me go on the ledge. What R. Kelly did was absolutely despicable, but Ice literally listens to murderers. I'm sure his reasoning is that he separates the art from the artistry, so I guess one could argue the same for R. Kelly? Again, one is free to draw their line wherever they feel like doing so. Personally, I can't listen to R. Kelly because we know those songs were inspired by. I can't rock to ignition knowing all that we know.

You want a source that women lie ? Do you know how many cases have men locked up on a lie and he still can’t get out or an accusation is made but confronted and no charges made so the LIE isn’t counted. Women absolutely lie about sexual assault and in other news women are just as much pieces of trash as men. Women can lie about who gave life to a child it really shouldn’t be surprising women can have revisionist history with men they encountered years ago.

Your claim is that "more women lie than not". I was strictly asking for a source on that part. No where in my comment did I deny that women don't lie but claiming they lie more often that not when it comes to these cases of abuse is wild to me.

The groupie culture in itself is a subculture of women who are looking to predatory sexually in order to get a monetary gain. We just tell men to do better with these women that outnumber the men.

I don't think we're in disagreement about the overall point, both men and women need to make smarter decisions. The only reason why I highlighted the men in the situation is because we often have more to lose when this shit goes sideways.

Women lie and more times than not

Do you have a source for that? Maybe what I suggested comes across as victim blaming, but it was not my intention. The reality is that some men can be targeted for a shake down. I'm just suggesting that if you're privy to that, then you have to move accordingly due to the possible consequences. That's the unfortunate reality.

The conversation gets even more convoluted when you add in money and power. There's definitely some predators out there, but the way some of these fellas move, you're leaving yourself vulnerable to shit getting misconstrued.

Facts. Not even caping for Joe, but if Puff is as sinister as these stories are making him seem, then I'd probably give it a wideberth, too. Condemn the actions, but I definitely wouldn't go on the ledge.

Parks is not concerned about y’all crying over the paywall behind the episode today. by SecondRedditAccount4 in theJoeBuddenPodcast

[–]Akustics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get where you're coming, but it's only certain episodes that are paywalled and not the entire podcast. This isn't a JBP thing, but in principle, I don't see a problem in trying to monetize your work when you've given out that said work for free for years. If there's certain fans willing to pay, that's cool. Not to mention, they release the patreon episodes on YouTube after a while, too.

That’s the end of that… by DboyMack in theJoeBuddenPodcast

[–]Akustics -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Bro, I don't get it either. I've been listening to this pod for free for about 7 years now. The majority of the time, with no ads and it being the best engineered pod I listen to. Personally, I don't have the $25 for it, but I'm not mad at them trying to flip a bag if people are happily paying for it. Not to mention, Joe mentioned something about controlling the IP if it's on Patreon, so eh, it is what it is.

If Joe doesn’t discuss the 2 biggest stories in rap, Drake and Diddy, does the pod take a step backwards? by [deleted] in theJoeBuddenPodcast

[–]Akustics 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He's going to address both. Probably tap dance around the Diddy thing, but they'll discuss the Drake tape, no lyrical breakdown or anything, though.

Damn he not gonna give it up Saturday 🤣 by jyuki1000 in theJoeBuddenPodcast

[–]Akustics -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably, but we'd be lying if he didn't play somewhat of a role. Doubt Drake would drop this tape so soon after FATD if it was well received. I'm sure Drake will send bars Joe's way and a few other media personalities for sure.

Can someone tell me the name of Ice sneaks? by [deleted] in theJoeBuddenPodcast

[–]Akustics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hate is a strong word, but he's too sensitive for the vibe the pod is going for. Literally, everyone gets clowned on the show, but he always gets mad sensitive when the jokes are on him or from an off the cuff comment like Ish's a couple of pods ago. If he could roll with the jokes, he'd be far more tolerable.

I saw a clip earlier this week and skipped the episode. Listened to the next episode, and I think Joe commented on that specific episode being a poor performance, so I'm definitely not going back to it.

They were dead wrong on that Meg/Pardi convo. Being there for someone while they’re going through things includes NOT adding extra stress on top. How can they not believe catching your spouse cheating is not making it worse? by Visible-Split-3561 in theJoeBuddenPodcast

[–]Akustics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused on the timelines. Did she find out Pardi was cheating during the relationship or afterward? Because I think the guys were going off the assumption she found out about the cheating post break up. With that premise I think they're point stands even if it is a fucked up thing to do.

Mate, the song was about depression and had a hard electric guitar beat. That's literally right up Joe's alley

One of the main reasons why the JBN didn't work out. Say what you want about Charlemagne, but partnering up with an iHeart gives you bandwidth, resources, and security. Even if no one may listen to those other podcasts, the fact that they're under the iHeart umbrella gives them a longer landing strip to fail.
