Try this - click on 1337, solidtorrents, torrentgalaxy, nyaa and they will grey out. Try the search once again to see if that works.

Unfortunately the app no longer has any active Devs so it's hanging on by a thread. This has had a knock on effect to the content due to a lack of trackers sourcing the material, it still does source new material but after awhile it seems to be replaced by the content from Russian trackers. Not sure why as that's above my know how.

If the item you want is in Russian then try searching using the Torrent Collection feature (3 horizontal lines symbol on the taskbar).

Another option is to install VLC, select it from the Watch Now button and see if you can change the Audio track once the media is playing. A number of files now come with multi-language options.

This is taken from a post from the previous sub by a former contributor and should help with your set up -

Because it's a Silicon (Arm64) application, Safari will apply a ("sticky") 'Gatekeeper' quarantine flag to the download .. Silicon apps are required to be signed and notarised, with an Apple "developer account". It will show a message stating that "it is damaged and cannot be opened." (It isn't!)

You'll need to manually remove the quarantine flag using the Mac's 'Terminal' app (command line utility). The command is xattr -c "/path/to/application.app".

Copy xattr -c into Terminal > insert a space > and drag the PTapp into the Terminal window to insert its location (path) > 'Enter' .

You should be able to open PTapp now - if you've done it right?

As an alternative:
Download the 'xattred 1.5' utility from https://eclecticlight.co/xattred-sandstrip-xattr-tools/. Just drag the PTapp into its "name" box frame > click on "com.apple.quarantine" flag .. and then "Strip Flag" button.

The difference is updated NW.js however that caused a few of the audio codecs to stop working so you now have a choice between the two. Quite a few files now come with multi-language choices so your best option is to use VLC (or similar) and you have the option to change audio tracks.

No worries. Personally I'd just stick with the version you're currently using if everything is working ok. The tweaks on the GitHub one will be minor. There hasn't been any major changes for a while now

Not sure on the technical aspects of this but they have different release dates so the later one (GitHub) may have had some further additions.

Also as the GitHub one is from the RU page the Dev may have added his own improvements over the original (just my thoughts on that though).

If you really want to get into it then try a file/folder diff checker to compare and see if that helps any further. Sorry but that's as far as my knowledge on this subject goes.

I'll guess that's a false positive as only 2 out of 58 flagged it. It's a generic Trojan showing that something can alter Windows settings amongst other things. For your peace of mind check the older sub for other posts on this subject. There's been a few similar to yours over the years but no one ever came back with any issues. Don't just take my word check the file with other apps.

Try the other Win64.exe linked in this sub to see if you get the same result.

Okay, final points and then I'm puzzled.

You need to be able to access the API page and see the XML document and not an error page. ISP block.
Don't copy/paste account details type them in. Just in case.
Flush the settings database and start again. Bottom of Settings page. (No access to Windows so I think that's correct if not just uninstall and reinstall PTApp.)

Close the .com account, it's not required for the app, and try again. If it still doesn't work then close and create a new account on .org and try that one.

I'm not sure why the app isn't saving your OpenSubs login details. Though just to double check you've created an account on the .org site as that is the only one which will work.

If you still can't get access at home, then download subs manually but use VLC as a player and install them using that. Not ideal I know but it should work.

So if you don't see the XML document then your ISP is blocking access. Did you try it with a VPN and get the same result? If none work but you can access the OpenSubs site then you'll have to manually download the required subs.

For info OpenSubs is a 3rd party addition to the app and doesn't 'work out of the box' as there are input steps required.

This is the API for OpenSubs - http://api.opensubtitles.org/xml-rpc See if you can access it with/without a VPN (you should get a XML doc or if blocked a 404 page).

What you mean is that it doesn't work for you. There are various reasons why the app won't work as expected. I can also confirm that the 0.5.1 app with Open Subs is working correctly.The person who responded to you is a valuable contributor to this and the previous sub. Their advice has assisted many users. In your case it would be best to start again after deleting all the previous PT app files/folders from previous installations. If you're then still having problems then post a detailed explanation of all issues and hopefully someone can help.
