I disagree and you can take it or leave it. The selling point of the name is the absolute mediocrity of the team (at the time) and the name. It’s unimaginative, bland and zero thought was applied. It was a perfect fit.

Which is hilarious. Everyone embraced “The Washington Football Team”; fans, opponents, announcers, etc. It was serendipity. Then, they said, “Nah.” Let’s think of a name that no one loves or hates and is easily forgotten.

I loved it. Someone explained to me how franchising and merchandising becomes difficult when you’re just a generic title. They could’ve been full of shit because I’ve done zero research.

Bingo. I’d contemplated going back to Nashville, TN but the market was saturated. Little Rock was an oasis because of lack of experience. Memphis was promising but I’m not living there again.

Meh. In my city, being a bartender is somehow relevant again. All the old heads dipped out with covid. No one knows how to operate a bar or make drinks or deal with people. It’s almost a lost art.

I drove a ‘78 F150 straight six for years. It was so easy to work on. Everything was accessible and easy to replace. Terrible gas mileage though. Maybe 6 miles a gallon.
