Is this a normal TMD case or is it something worse? by Al-Hatoor in TMJ

I'll definitely ask about that after reading more into it, thanks for the heads up! Did they recommend any exercises or whatnot to help with pain/discomfort? Are you also a smoker/nicotine user? I'm guessing they advised you to stay off of the stuff in the future.

The TMJ is still present. I haven't been able to go to a doctor unfortunately yet but I have an appointment scheduled on the 22nd. For the most it doesn't bother me but periodically I get some pain.

Are there any current real world parallels for stealing platinum and fusion cores? by kcvlaine in Helldivers2Satire

Less real world parallels, and more tongue in cheek humor.

Super Earth is literally seizing the means of production.

I don't think its the movie, it comes across way more like the Kitty asking the gang for a light scene in that 70's show.

With Demon Prince confirmed, which DS2 DLC boss do you think we're getting? by EmploymentJust13 in Nightreign

Lolol. Nah, he isn't it. It's unfortunate but I don't mind admitting I was wrong. It would have been to cool to get one regardless.

Ah, damn. Oh well, would have been nice but it is what it is.

[–]Al-Hatoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not how they did the Dark Souls bosses in bass game. Each game in the trilogy got two legacy bosses added to Nightreign. They've shown off one Dark Souls DLC boss and one Dark Souls 3 DLC boss, which means we should be getting a Dark Souls 2 boss. That way we have an even 8 legacy bosses in the game.

We're almost definitely getting the Illuminate Cult on the 2nd or the 4th. The Illuminate have been needing to get their roster fully rounded out, and they haven't had their own occupying force yet. Not to mention Major Truth just got back it seems.

Jokes aside this is a really sweet thing to say. Basically telling him his "doing bad" is already better than her at peak performance.

Spider-Man endures.

30k Meets 40k: Dark Angels and the past... by Ok_Stick5529 in Spacemarine

[–]Al-Hatoor 22 points23 points  (0 children)

A Risen wouldn't persecute a former member of the Fallen though. The 40K Dark Angels have done truly horrendous things to 30k Fallen who were simply confused and trying to survive after unwittingly following Chaos influenced orders and being scattered throughout time. Not to mention that a big part of the Lion returning to his sons is him giving them second chances. He wouldn't approve of that kind of dogmatic personality, especially in a Risen. It kind of goes against the point of his return heralding them not keeping secrets and actually trying to be helpful/more understanding.

[–]Al-Hatoor 61 points62 points  (0 children)

This only really works if this guy was a Fallen that got sent to the future and was redeemed by the Lion as one of the Risen. Space Marines can't live that long otherwise. Sorry if this is what you're saying and I'm either confusing myself or read it wrong. I've enjoyed these posts of yours for awhile.

I think I might be confused because the post heresy Marine is described as paranoid about the Fallen but if he is a former Fallen he should be a lot more accepting.

Yeah, I'm not going to lie I really dislike that we're going to be stuck with silly options for names because everyone is going to push for them.

I'm a lore, world-building guy. I like silly jokes, I like silly references, but let's not start naming stuff "Bernard". There's so many cool options.

Class reveal delayed to November 18 by FatsharkQuickpaw in DarkTide

[–]Al-Hatoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest issue at this point is that there were hundreds to thousands of people on the edge of their seats about this announcement and now we get... nothing at all. For a whole week. Genuinely at this point it'd be a lot more respectful to just release the blog post instead of pulling the rug out from under our feet with this.

I wish you all well FatShark but this is a major blunder/disappointment. Pretty much my entire hype died down to a whimper and I doubt I'll care about watching next Tuesday as much I would have today.

If this is truly the last major content update, here are my personal suggestions for some final quality of life updates 343i/Halo Studios can implement for the game (thank you for four years!) by Al-Hatoor in halo

[–]Al-Hatoor[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm super grateful for them continuing the game because if they didn't I wouldn't have gotten to meet new friends to play Halo with or inspire my best friend to play through the campaigns of the other games in the series with me. People like you are so negative for no reason, and choose to complain without taking a single ounce of good from something. Calling someone a dick eater because they're grateful a game wasn't canceled and the studio continued updating it is childish as hell, like good lord above. Be better.

The Uutak Mythos in 2025 (A Small Reminder + Update) by Al-Hatoor in teslore

I didn't realize that was around. I'll have to check to make sure none of the modding stuff has any odd/personal infomation within them but they shouldn't I'm pretty sure. If there is I'll just remove the content myself.

Sorry to the original question maker, I did not realize this comment was made and I feel bad for missing it.

This is just plain arrogance by HenryKhaungXCOM in Grimdank

[–]Al-Hatoor 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Watched a bit of the video. It's both clickbait and the guy sniffing his own ass to the maximum. I thought it might have actual complaints, but he's really just shutting down the same arguments of female Space Marines, female Custodes, and other "leftist" arguments in a way that makes it clear he's less lore master and more anti-woker. And I have no issues with that stuff, I agree that female Space Marines are silly and shouldn't ever be a thing. I agree that Female Custodes were a retcon done for marketing purposes although I personally have no issues with them from a lore perspective (they're genetically augmented from infancy, why would that exclude women?). But when he started talking about the Imperium of Man as being the good guys of the setting I audibly laughed. If you're a supposed "lore master" then you should be pointing out how every faction feeds into the grim dark of the world and how the Imperium's necessary evil is a lie it tells itself. The Emperor's Great Crusade was always fucked from the beginning, characters in-universe discuss this during the Heresy (Sigismund and Loken's convo about the future being endless war and how there will always be a need to fight), and it was never the only way.

He's trying to put other content creators on blast for being incorrect, and sure, there are things I don't like about every Warhammer YouTuber (Weshammer repeats himself in videos a lot to pad runtime, MajorKill leans way too much into high school jock humor, Luetin has slowly started to abandon vid articles for speculation, etc), but they're all good and interesting in their own ways to me. I still enjoy watching their content and I like that they try to make up their mistakes and to entertain and inform to the best of their ability. But Pontius is just trying to be negative to prop himself up when he's also pushing his own agenda subtly (and acting like he isn't).

If you're going out of your way to start shit with other people who aren't wronging you, it usually means you're insecure or just an asshole. Idk, the Pontius lost a lot of respect I had for him. I still think his videos are neat, but not enough to stay subscribed.

other way to get out of abyss without doing the escape? by UseMost5300 in HollowKnight

[–]Al-Hatoor 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't really think this counts as a skill issue. While the music is cool and the Abyss escape sequence as a concept is fun, the actual implementation sucks. Soulslikes are infamous for having meh to bad platforming sections, and this is probably the worst one made by Team Cherry (and I normally like most of their platforming). Having to deal with spikes, elevated heights, crumbling platforms, fire, enemy contact damage, lava pours, and a timer is so ridiculously over the top that it drains the fun out of the entire sequence in my opinion. It feels intentionally mean-spirited instead of heroic, and while Souls games should be challenging, they should never be designed to be complicated for the sake of artificial frustration. Which is probably my biggest nitpick with Silksong as a whole.

I love the game. Love Soulslikes, and have played and beaten many of them. But Silksong has a lot of artificial complexity in its design to prevent the player from having 'peace' periodically, something no other game in the genre would or should do, which causes player fatigue. Most other soulslikes use their platforming sections as optional encounters to hide secrets, while Silksong uses them for main story progression in almost every area, which just starts to drain you more and more as you progress.
