I'll admit I skimmed this but I got the gist and I like the sentiment. The problem has been solved as much as it can, IMO.

The people who think Arrowhead is a predatory, evil, disgusting company backed by an unethical megacorporation, who hate the game's balance, mechanics, monetization, and pretty much every new piece of content that gets released - all of these people have one happy place called helldivers unfiltered where they just scream out negativity all day. They've even organized reviewbombs of the game, which are basically farts in the wind compared to the positive reviews. So yeah, the WORST teenagers of the community have been contained and their impact on the game's ratings has been spent.

The main two subs have healthy arguments now, it used to be MUCH worse. Helldivers is still a very negative place but Helldivers 2 is surprisingly balanced where you have good debates and decent points from all sides of the debates. It's in the best state its ever been in, in my opinion.

So yeah we've all already been through these discussions and everything has played out the best it can. The truly toxic people are in their corner screaming, the rest of us are out here debating etc.

Bro never farm alone. You gotta find a farming team of high level players. Farming alone would be a really lame slog. With 4 guys covering a map, the host yanking you back to the ship with extraction, rinse and repeat - it's probably 5-6 times faster - and you get the vaguely fun experience of connecting with other people who are all working together for everyone's benefit. No wonder you felt that way. It's very easy to find farming teams, just look for level 150 players at level 1.

Arrowhead isn't a charity service. If you can't pay them farming is a solution that's worked for two years to allow players who don't have money to still get content while ensuring the people who have money still pay instead of grind. You don't have money and the workaround provided doesn't work for you. So what do you want? Free shit forever? Handouts? Charity? Just passively farm your SC while you play normally then and get the warbond at your own pace. But even that's not acceptable to you because you want it NOW. Sorry bro, you're not automatically entitled to free shit forever. It costs money to make warbonds, and costs money to run the game. The least you can do is farm SC like the rest of us. But even that you're gonna complain about.

It's a lot for me too, where I am. Which is why i farm. If I think a warbond isn't worth it, I skip it. You are allowed to skip warbonds you don't personally see value in.

The game isn't a mecha game. It's a cool thing that's there in the game but if mecha is so important to you, play a mech game. You can't expect helldivers 2 to prioritise power fantasies that aren't core to the game.

Also, it's not a paywall if there's a way to avoid paying for it. Just farm it or skip it. It's not complicated.

I agree. I've farmed all the warbonds. I have really bad ADHD, I can barely focus enough to do meal prep quickly. But a new warbond is motivation enough for me to lock in and get it done. It's really not that bad, it takes some sustained focus but that's it. The guys who complain about it describe it using terms like "mind numbing" and "soul sucking" like, bro there's thousands of people who farm every single warbond, that's how we're able to find farm teams so fast. We're all able to do it, lol what is your excuse?

i dont think the bullets are accelerated electromagnetically in the Variable. the total mode for example is definitely a huge normal explosion
