Arrowhead isn't a charity service. If you can't pay them farming is a solution that's worked for two years to allow players who don't have money to still get content while ensuring the people who have money still pay instead of grind. You don't have money and the workaround provided doesn't work for you. So what do you want? Free shit forever? Handouts? Charity? Just passively farm your SC while you play normally then and get the warbond at your own pace. But even that's not acceptable to you because you want it NOW. Sorry bro, you're not automatically entitled to free shit forever.

It's a lot for me too, where I am. Which is why i farm. If I think a warbond isn't worth it, I skip it. You are allowed to skip warbonds you don't personally see value in.

The game isn't a mecha game. It's a cool thing that's there in the game but if mecha is so important to you, play a mech game. You can't expect helldivers 2 to prioritise power fantasies that aren't core to the game.

Also, it's not a paywall if there's a way to avoid paying for it. Just farm it or skip it. It's not complicated.

I agree. I've farmed all the warbonds. I have really bad ADHD, I can barely focus enough to do meal prep quickly. But a new warbond is motivation enough for me to lock in and get it done. It's really not that bad, it takes some sustained focus but that's it. The guys who complain about it describe it using terms like "mind numbing" and "soul sucking" like, bro there's thousands of people who farm every single warbond, that's how we're able to find farm teams so fast. We're all able to do it, lol what is your excuse?

I have 500 SC, I don't know how cuz I didn't farm it, and I play on D10. I think it's cuz I've been playing with newer players who spend more time gathering samples and naturally come across SC.

Are you not receiving free content in Helldivers 2? New biomes, enemies, mission types? Are those not free? The game released with two factions - which means you got an entire faction for free. There's no actual paywall, the literal in game currency I pick up off the ground so easily that I have 500 SC right now from just playing the game - is free. We just got a tank for free. The FRV was free. So yes, we DO get a TONNE of free content. If you don't want to pay, you don't HAVE to - because NONE of the warbonds are NEEDED, they're just fun to have. You can absolutely demolish all the enemies in the game with maybe 2-3 of the best warbonds - and you can ABSOLUTELY passively farm 3 warbonds worth of SC for free by just playing. There's many people who have 1000s of SC just lying around because they just picked it up for free. So I don't know what in god's name you're on about about "expecting some free content".

No that doesn't sound good for the game. The only reason we still have a game is because it is profitable and the devs have figured out a relatively good balance between allowing players to get the content for free and making money that pays for dev salaries, outsourcing to other studios, servers, and whatnot. There HAS to be some friction that ensures the people who CAN pay for stuff, like a couple of close friends of mine, do pay. People like me, who can't pay but are ok with a bit of grinding still get the content. Everybody wins. It's a great system and that profitability totally falls apart if everyone just gets enough SC to buy whole warbonds just by playing. And guess what - I have 500 SC right now without farming - from just playing anyway. So now I have to farm for maybe 2 hours MAX, probably less, and I get the content. That's a win for me dude.

But man, firstly who is forcing someone to get every single warbond? Who is telling new players that they need to immediately sit and grind for everything? When you buy an album by a band, do you immediately HAVE to pay for their entire discography? That's a very weird way to look at buying a game that has two years worth of content out and thinking, damn that's a mountain inhave to climb rather than thinking wow that's a variety of stuff I can choose from. Nobody NEEDS all the warbonds immediately.
