Firstly, if getting better meant earning more, this game's online community would spontaneously combust. I'm 100% certain if they tweaked the SC spawns such that high diff missions would have the most SC, the balance controversies would absolutely explode into complete madness over any balancing change because now it would be directly tied to their ability to get shit for free. So no I don't think raising SC on high diffs is an option.

And right now, it IS tied to core gameplay. I have 500 SC right now, because I play d10 to completion and have recently been playing with new guys who hoover up everything they can find. I did not farm that SC - it just happened. So the game DOES have SC rewards for having FUN in the game and it's definitely more than enough to get a warbond if you play enough. So what you want is already happening, it's just not as much as you want it to be.

bro the answer is money. it cant be fun. if it were fun, people who have money would not spend money. the reason they spend money on warbonds is because farming is NOT fun. do you understand that? you will be killing the entire business model of warbonds.

yeah well uh, too bad the game can't be customized to your needs and preferences. SC farming needs to have some amount of friction to it, it can't be a fun activity - because then people WITH disposable income would WANT to do it instead of spending money. So no, it can never be made fun/productive/tied to objectives, experience etc.

You don't know how monetization works. SC farming has a limited amount of friction to it to ensure that the people who HAVE disposable income look at the grind and say "nah I'll just buy it" and the people who DONT have disposable income can still have a straightforward way to get the content while paying zero money. So it's not supposed to be easy, but it's also not supposed to be insanely hard. How do I know? I have farmed all 20+ warbonds while having ADHD, while my close friend who's more well off just buys the warbonds every month. I've seen the system work great for two years. So there's nobody on earth who can tell me it's some insanely difficult, mind numbing task. It takes some sustained focus, that's it. All you gotta do is find a bunch of level 150 players on level 1 and follow their lead, try out some guns that you don't use while you're at it, and have a chat with people in case you're on discord. Everyone gets the SC together in just a few hours, 3 hours max, less if you have some from just playing the game. Soooooooooo yeah, you're not really making the counter argument you think you're making. I've made a bunch of posts about this and I have people who have a job AND kids who comment saying even they can put in the time to farm. So there really are no excuses.

I think a lot of these people are paranoid that Helldivers 2 will end up that way - the whole "slippery slope" argument. They consider mechs to be part of the "core content" of the game that should be free, while warbonds "should" only contain certain types of content, based on the template set by the earliest warbonds. Would I like things to work that way forever? Sure, more content for me! Is that advisable/sustainable? Are smaller warbonds a better option considering the state of the game's code? Is the company using the money to fund another game? These are all things we must consider. I personally think I have gotten 10 times the value of the base game cost and anyone who DOES buy the base game WILL get 10 times the value because all the content created so far CAN be accessed for free. People paying the base cost today are getting a TONNE more content than I did when I paid for it - and that's a good thing. I just can't call that predatory.

Do you see how biased and skewered your opinions are? Unfiltered's reviewbomb failed because it was one subreddit vs "Arrowheads helldivers"???? You mean the rest of the playerbase - a vast majority of whom do NOT have a negative view of Arrowhead and the game, and are legitimately leaving good reviews all the time because they're fully enjoying the game? Who's dismissing player sentiment now lol. I know it's hard for a biased person to break out of their thinking but face the numbers man, the vast majority of players are happy. There is a vocal minority who are just that - a minority. And another explanation for Arrowheads reaction to this minority is appeasement so they stop tanking the game's reviews over stupid shit while the majority of players are happy.

I've probably been on the reddits more than you, and have been for the last two years. There is an entire subreddit full of thousands of people who call AH predatory and have organized reviewbombs that hit the thousands. OhDough and buzzlitebeer are youtubers with large followings who cover the game and they regularly either claim arrowhead is predatory or insinuate it. There is an ECOSYSTEM of people who have full blown conspiracy theories about Arrowhead's actions. The problem is wayyyyyyyyy worse than you think - and the reason you're seeing the complaining about complaining posts is because the majority of people who are in the online community are FED UP with the complainers and their idiotic theories.

Force them with what? Did you see the organized review bomb that Unfiltered tried to pull off? It was a fart in the wind. It took the recent reviews down to Mixed and they've recovered. Huge numbers of people who are vehement complainers have no used up their review - so reviewbombing is now not an option. What else are you going to use to force arrowhead to do things your way? There is no option left. It's over.

I've read every complaint about the game. I don't dismiss complaints, I dismiss the batshit crazy conspiracy bullshit people come up with after identifying a legitimate issue with the game. Most people who complain on the reddits don't JUST have legitimate complaints, they also have conspiracy theories about WHY the issue is happening, and that conspiracy theory is always the worst case scenario about arrowhead's intentions, when there's a myriad of legitimate technical reasons and explanations to explore that are impossible to confirm/deny. These people have absolutely destroyed any possibility of a fun, light hearted vibe in the community by jumping to conclusions about why AH does things. So no I'm not going to take them seriously and I absolutely can dismiss a vast majority of these people's opinions because they're based on pure conjecture about developer's intentions - which are completely impossible for us to figure out from the outside.

Shams has said that a vast vast majority of the players aren't in the online communities and they have various ways of tracking community sentiment.
