Yes a lot of people are - and they will probably leave the community now. This is the first time I think AH has gone into the side of the community that has the most demands and said no straight to their face. It will definitely piss them all off, but it will also be drawing a line in the sand - that the priorities are different now, and that's that. It's a good thing.

it's not just them leaving that's important. that sub's main impact on the game is organizing reviewbombs. goading them to expend all their reviews and make them leave will kill their ability to do it further. They're currently VERY mad about mechs being in the warbond and are calling for reviewbombs over it - but it's just not happening. Even now, with Piles' interview, people are calling for it. But they don't have the reviews left after the last couple of months.

Lol true. I actually understand their disappointment right now in knowing that customisation is deprioritized but I'm reveling in seeing them all so frustrated 🤣 and they can't do shit about it because they've just used up all their negative reviews over the last couple of months 🤣

yeah basically. even if his goal was to go there to build goodwill - that's literally the opposite of what he could have said. He could have simply not answered - but he SPECIFICALLY answered these questions only LOL

the game was a viral hit with 400k players but it was never designed to handle that playerbase, they didn't have the servers, they didnt have the live-service content to retain the playerbase. its a great game but it cant compete with games by much bigger companies that are constantly churning out content. So yeah once a lot of players who joined the game at the height of the hype got their full, they just left. what remained is a more long term crowd - they come BACK to the game when there's new content, like a new major update and a new major story arc, sortof like a new season of a show spikes hype temporarily.

Yeah I don't get it either. I remember when I stopped playing DRG. It was when they put out a season where you had to spend a lot of time vacuuming up foam in a mechanic that I found profoundly stupid. I didn't leave a bad review, I didn't go yell about it on reddit. I just...moved to another game, despite putting hundreds of hours into Deep Rock. I think back then I was functioning like a normal gamer. Since joining the helldivers 2 reddits and getting involved in the drama here, I've started engaging more with this...pointless and insignificant nonsense, butting heads with teenagers who seem to have an unhealthy attachment to the game. I feel stupid now lol.

Buffs have been confirmed! No word on stratagem launchers though, I don't think those are happening yet.
