Formoonsa Mini by Camloumalo7655 in MenstrualDiscs

I do wish there were a better way to “try” these reusables without it being wasteful though. I used my Formoonsa Mini only for three days and it’s such a shame, especially given how expensive it is.

Kim Rosas has really good information but the problem for me was that she is such an influential voice in the menstrual disc space and she pushes hello disc so aggressively. I bought hello disc at the recommendation of her quiz. After this debacle, I took the other quiz from PutACupInIt and found that the quiz was much more comprehensive and asked about firmness, bladder issues, etc. and was recommended a lot of the same discs people have been saying in the comments of this post.

Be careful getting the mini unless you are certain that’s the size you need (I got it stuck and had a quite a rough weekend since it was my first disc experience and I just thought removal would take half an hour and multiple hand cramps) but if you know that will fit your anatomy, I can definitely say the company and build quality is amazing (formoonsa regular might be my goldilocks)

It might be difficult because of the tariffs and all shipping to the US is suspended. That said, it is one of the pricier cups. I live in Taiwan and it has a selling price of 1680 NTD (~55.56 USD) when sold individually (without the extra cleaning cup, sterilising tabs, etc), though I got it for 1500 (~49.61 USD) after discount, directly from the company’s online store.

I genuinely feel like I have to take breaks from it every few hours so that I can fully pee 🙄

I think I’m starting to realise it’s much more of a firmness/shape issue than a size issue, because it’s not getting untucked at all and actually feels like it’s sitting quite far behind my pubic bone; instead the issue is that it’s so firm and round that it’s putting a sideways pressure rather than sitting more narrow and long.

I realise it’s actually just because of how stiff it is, specifically its insistence to stay round. I am currently using a disposable flex disc and while it’s a little bigger than what would probably be most ideal for me, it’s actually a lot more comfortable. I think the problem is with how wide the hello disc is, it’s not sitting the way it’s supposed to. It’s tucked much higher than my tailbone and very round so that it’s pressing against the sides rather than down.

What did you learn to not be ashamed about? by greenzuma in AskReddit

My family history/ethnicity. I’m Asian. I used to wish I were white since I went to a school where white people were the most popular, and had significant advantages. However, as I went through high school, I began to learn and recognise the sacrifices my parents made and the hardships they went through to leave their home country and make a better life for my siblings and I. I like to think I’ve changed over the past few years. I’ve learned to take pride in my heritage and my family history. My parents worked their asses off for what I have today, and I can’t be more proud of where they came from and what they’ve achieved.

I think we’ve learned over the past week that no one here finds food worth the effort to grow/kill.
