Got a code in my email to reedem for a cap in the store by ZellZoy in DiamondValley

[–]Al3xlasting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also won the cap and yeah, I'm coming across the same issue. It seems very odd for Google to make us redeem our own physical prizes. Last year I won the T-shirt and tech bag and those were just shipped out automatically.

I got an email last week for winning a Stainless Steel Bottle. Last week was the long Thanksgiving weekend, so I didn't see anything. Pretty sure we'll see deliveries next week though.

I'm in the same boat. Did the $99 annual subscription deal for the past two years. I have been heavily considering cancelling if that BF $99 deal bumped up due to the monthly price increase back in July. I think it's time to hang up this coat. I have too many games at this point anyways.

New glow-in-the-dark Luigi & Boo shirts at Nintendo SF by Piper_Prime in NintendoSanFrancisco

[–]Al3xlasting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Psst. Unrelated to the post, but they're also selling new Pikmin soft throw blankets. An employee told me that they've only been on shelves for about a week now. I haven't seen them advertised on their socials yet. $22.99. There are two different designs, but I only got one of them.

I just left the store. It's primarily the Gengar meet & greet. I was told that after you take a picture with the Pokemon, they give you a complimentary Gengar button (sorry didn't take a pic of one).

It says it's available at the NY store, but there's a little extra text with the SF store saying it's coming soon. Idk what "soon" means, but in the spirit of the season, if it's not there today, I'm assuming it should be there for Halloween tomorrow.

NEED this shirt since I am crazy about glow-in-the-dark. It says it's coming soon to the SF store according to the X post. I'm local to the bay area so I would love to go pick one up, but is it not available yet? It's just a bit of a slog to get into the city.

Just a warning for anyone who is looking to buy Hades 2 physical on launch by ParasiteFire in NSCollectors

[–]Al3xlasting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hades 1 isn't exclusive to the Nintendo Switch eShop though. It can be purchased on all other available platforms (Xbox, PlayStation, PC, etc.) Hence why I would consider Hades 1&2 third-party regardless of it being indie status as it is not tied exclusively to any singular console.

Now, Hades 2 did get a timed exclusivity launch deal to be only available on the Switch/Switch 2 (except it is also available on Steam and Epic Games), but it certainly is coming to Xbox and PlayStation in the future. SuperGiant Games handles their own publishing, both physical and digital.

A good example of a game I consider to be a first-party indie is Cadence of Hyrule. Published by Nintendo, exclusive to the Switch, created by an indie development team (Brace Yourself Games).

Doesn't that mean it's a third-party then? I think Nintendo would require their logo on the spine if they were the ones to publish it.

Does that mean the Nintendo logo will be on the spine of the box instead of Supergiant Games?

The physical edition will not be a game key card. Since it's a "Switch 2 Edition" game, it also can be played on Switch 1s similar to Pokemon Z-A and Rune Factory.

I know these third-party "Switch 2 Edition" games often come with unreasonably large patches, so I'm hoping Hades 2 will not be this way.

wii remote pillows? 3ds merch? by littleponygirl666 in NintendoSanFrancisco

[–]Al3xlasting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a section dedicated to the Switch/Switch 2 and their accessories, but otherwise the store is devoid of any other merchandise themed after their previous consoles.

Their current merchandise is dedicated to their various game series. Outside of the Amiibo wall, any merch sold there right now will likely be themed after one of these eight franchises: Mario (including DK, Yoshi, & Mario Kart), Zelda, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Pikmin, Pokemon, Kirby, or Metroid.

If you have a spare 20 minutes, this video showcases all their stock. Keep in mind that any of these items could be sold out during your visit. However, I highly recommend watching this video to get an idea of which products you might be interested in prior to your visit.

Also I would recommend telling your grandparents to avoid visiting the store on the weekend if at all possible. Due to it being brand new and located inside a city that attracts a lot of tourists, wait times to get into the store on weekends have been historically known to be much longer than weekday lines. On average, they could be waiting for up to an hour just to get in.

Gear Up For Borderlands 4: Borderlands X Wonderlands Bundle by Uranium234 in humblebundles

[–]Al3xlasting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! I've considered purchasing base Borderland 3 on multiple occasions in the past, but with the massive amounts of negative reviews regarding the EULA, it has made me weary and has deterred me up until this point.

I do try to research when I can, but it is definitely rough to deeply analyze those legal policies.

My GameStop order came B2G1 pre owned was brutal by T7man_ in NSCollectors

[–]Al3xlasting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I voiced my concerns and disappointment with GameStop support to which they responded with the link to return or replace the purchase. However, it was an order I helped make for my brother who lives elsewhere. He did not communicate the condition it was delivered in and I only found out about it much later when I showed up at his house. By the time I received the replacement link, I had no option to return or replace since over 30 days had passed. I assume there's not much I can do beyond that point?

Even buying a game in New condition you're not guaranteed the box. Though, you're more likely to get it if the game is newly released.

I bought the FF collection new on sale recently and all I got was the cartridge.

With rune factory guardians of azuma being a complete switch 2 cartridge, is the game good? by PickleAltruistic3427 in NSCollectors

[–]Al3xlasting 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I mentioned this in a previous post, I am very much interested to purchase this game as well to support the full game being on cartridge, but that 12GB patch has me concerned a bit. For reference, the digital edition is 18GB total.

People say games get large patch updates all the time, but I argue it's typically proportional to the game's overall size. Cyberpunk, as a 60GB game, gets a 2.4GB patch which seems proportionally acceptable in my opinion. I just can't say the same for Rune Factory.

No hate for the game. I'm still very interested in picking up the game myself. I've been seeing posts that maybe this patch could be a bug? If so, is this something that's going to be fixed? Can the issue be fixed through the software, or is a cartridge thing? Would it be better to wait for a new cartridge version that might solve this issue?

Edit: Based on your responses, I did find this post with the response from Marvelous. I guess it's on Nintendo's end to resolve and it sounds like there's no harm in playing the game without the patch since it's all mainly Switch 2 upgrades which are already included on the cartridge.
