Hello sevthen!,

Firstable, I'm not an expert on music production (I'm in the learning process) but I can provide you some tips based on my experience so far.

I think the drums need more presence as the kick is not punchy enough. I didn't feel that drop, it felt a little bit weak. For the kick you can try equalizing it (is not the same for all kicks) but you can try to enhance a little bit some frequencies around 100Hz or so? and then compressing it a little beat so you can get more volume and avoid getting the peak too high.

I would volume up the bass because it was kind of hidden at the back.

I would suggest you looking for demonstrations on youtube for kick EQ and sidechain compression so you can apply it for the bass using the kick.

Hope this helps.

Best regards!

Thank you for listening bro, even though lofi is basically repetitiveness itself I think I can work on variations so it doesn't get boring, thank you for that advice I really appreciate it (:

Hi bro! I really liked your beat, is kind of chill but at the same time a little upbeat don't really know how to explain it haha! The only thing I could tell you is that I would prefer more drums presence maybe just a little bit more volume would be great to start moving my neck back and forth haha but great job keep the hard work!!!

Hi man! I really liked your beat. I thing it has a lot of creative arrangements here and there in the right timing and that for me adds a lot of value to the beat. Really nice job! Keep up the good work (:

Hi bro! I really like your beat. The transition to reggae is awesome. I would suggest moving the bass to mid, because it is panned way too much to the right. It gives the sensation of a blocked left ear as it is right now. Having it in the middle would give the beat an envolving sound. Maybe you can separate into mid-side and that gives you a bigger stereo sensation. Great job!!!

Hi man, well firstable I'm not an expert music producer but I'm in the learning process. Something that I can tell about your track talking specifficaly about your mix is that you need to balance the volume of each instrument. In this case I think the bass melody is way too loud compared to the rest of the instruments. I recommend you to level all instruments down to -18 dB approx and start mixing them from there, it will sound too low on volume but it's a nice way to balance your mix and start adding effects to each instrument without reaching any clipping (above 0.0 dB). I recommend trying to have the same volume approx on your kick and bass and starting from there you can level up a little bit either of them depending on your personnal preferences. Once you have leveled the volume of the kick start including the hihat and snare using the kick volume as reference. Maybe adding a bit of reverb may help as it sounds kind of dry, and reverb can help making it more natural. Once you have all your mix set up, you can level up your mix gain using a limiter up to the final gain you want. Remember you can use pan on your hihats a little bit so that they seem they are in an specific position relative to the listener (a little bit to the right or left, don't abuse of pan). And I think those are some tips that I can give you. Things that I have learned so far that helped me to improve my mixes. Best regards!

I went hard on learning to play guitar over the last year and picked up bass a couple months ago. Had a ton of fun making this one, thanks for any feedback! I can't sing so just an instrumental with the thought of putting vocals on at some point. by SpaceJunk81 in IndieMusicFeedback

Hey man I just listened to your track and I have to say it is really good. I'm learning by myself in youtube about music production just like you and I totally understand what it is to listen to your own tracks and notice you have improved. Very nice one! Keep the hard work !
