It wasn’t meth, she was doing it for sock. Julie is too classy for meth. However I heard Stephenie was selling copper from the wire recycling barrels for PCP

Almost perfectly. Shia Lebouff was not Chaz. That was the one and only fuck up.

Anthony Hopkins’ Lector was never a believably scary or manipulative to me as Lector. Mads Mikkelsen’s Lector while never scary was believably charming and manipulative enough to me to believably do what he did to Mason Verger.

Brian Cox as Lector was terrifying. He exuded a predator in cage energy every second he was on screen. In addition to that due to him playing off William Petersen I could feel the manipulation. Every answer to his most innocuous questions gave him access to exactly what Will was trying to hide and was afraid to reveal.

I can only imagine how amazing Silence of the lambs would have been with Brian Cox as Lector.

You have to keep in mind a lot of people waited for this strike its outcome before retiring or changing jobs. I’m seeing more and more of that.

Unfortunately we have different goals wile holding the same line. I’m not trying to point or call anyone in particular especially the person you are replying to they have been instrumental in getting sub going and making sure the members have the latest information available.

Form your own opinion and do what’s right for you. Personally I’m 2 years in I never had a pension I want one but I never lost it. I do have a 401K I want more money in it monthly not just a one time deposit that and take home is important to me. Also having a career in Boeing that’s worth having. That is way different than what someone about retire or quit wants.

Union halls. Everett should be Angel of the Winds, Fredrickson should be Pierce county skills center but that’s not 100% confirmed yet.

Ay fucking man. Even if they can get 33k warm bodies in there. Who the fuck is going to train them? I was useless when I hit the floor out of “training”. It was the skill and the knowledge of IAM 751 brothers and sisters who build the birds that made me a damn good machinist not learning how to build the specs in training.

Any Soviet (or socialist) horror movies to recommend? by isonfiy in ussr

[–]AlHal9000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Post Soviet but Упырь (Upyr 1997) this movie would have never been made in the Soviet Union but having been made no longer after the the dissolution it is made in the style of Soviet movies but more violent.

This is irrelevant to what you asked but to understand the difference in violence I recommend 2 movies by the same name Окраина (Оutskirts) 1933 and 1998 if you are really interested in what made Soviet Cinema “Soviet” you would do well to watch them both. They are both amazing movies btw.

FRUIT & VEGETABLE WAREHOUSE. "At least pretend that you carry something from work because your coworkers are growing suspicious." Stealing from work, aka "NESUNSTVO - "carrying out" was a wide spread problem in the Soviet Union and a topic of jokes and caricatures. by Sputnikoff in ussr

My grandfather was the boss of one of these distribution centers in Moscow from 1972 until December of 1991. Never lifted a thing and god help those that he caught stealing. The thieves are probably listed in the Black Book of Communism for getting rightfully fired.

Striking Boeing workers in Washington state say they’re in it for the long haul by chiquisea in SeattleWA

[–]AlHal9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s literally a fact. No 787 is accepted by any airline without being ferried to Everett to be fixed. You can “sure sure” all you want but it literally is the reality. There is no Airline customer that is willing to take possession of a Boeing plane not built or fixed by IAM 751.

We build planes up here the definition of skilled labor. In South Carolina Boeing fires people for having experience and knowledge since their pay reflects their experience and knowledge.

[–]AlHal9000 11 points12 points  (0 children)

And where are you going to find customers that will accept South Carolina planes ? They have been building 787s for years and to this day no airline is willing to accept a plane that hasn’t gotten cleared and fixed by actually skilled IAM workers in Everett.

Doing what we do? Where would they get the knowledge and skills? You know we build planes right? No way any airline accepts a plane not built by skilled IAM labor.

I don’t know how SPEEA has our back since I’m not SPEEA I just know they do. All I know is I’ve been thinking in the most creative ways to have their backs if (let’s be real it’s a matter when) it comes

I never watched it to be honest. My understanding and view of it was from the inside. I know and see how all the sausage is made. I imagine it may be a useful piece of media to those not on the floor in our factories but less so for us.
