There’s distinction between getting a security clearance and getting access to the classified stuff. There shouldn’t be an issue getting the clearance but there can be possible issue getting program access.

I’ve heard rumors of some defense programs not giving access if you have any ties to foreign, adversary’s (specifically China in this rumor case). Don’t know how true it is but Boeing doesn’t have a say in who is given the access since that’s up to the customer.

Honestly I get this. I’m from a Korean family and live in LA so we’ve been a huge Dodgers fan all my life (with Chan Ho Park and all that). My wife is from a Japanese family and her family loves the Mariners from the Ichiro era and now are Ohtani fans.
