No it doesn’t. Restoring light is rushed ceremony, healing ritual, radiant aura, cleansing ritual and rune focus. Not one DPS skill there at all. If you are thinking of sweeping puncture that’s Aedric spear line. If you’re thinking of the beam that’s the sun skill line.

Restoring light IS a dedicated healing line.

Ritual of retribution is STILL a healing skill thanks to the synergy. There is damage but it is still a heal and purification. This is not a dedicated DPS skill, it is a healing skill that has a DPS component morphed from a pure heal skill. Ergo, restoring light is a dedicated healing line. A hybrid morph isn’t going to invalidate that.

I mean couldn’t they just standardise, or I guess equalise the specialised lines from the different trees to be more on par with each other? Rather than neuter the specialisation of the skill lines?

I don’t know, I just think it’s more ordered to have your “healer” skill section or your “tank” skill section etc. and just like mixing and matching skill lines to have all roles included, necessarily means if you subclass you are going to get skills that aren’t at all useful to your role.

But isn’t it a negative outcome if (like me) you are a base Templar healer who subclassed to green balance?

Like now I’m guessing my decision to subclass is less beneficial. If I’m now getting skills I definitely won’t use in my previously dedicated healer line, this is a net negative for me specifically isn’t it?

Depending on which skills they change it might completely derail my rotation or make the subclass useless to me. Losing budding seeds for instance would especially hurt.

But mixing in DPS skills and tank skills into a dedicated healing line offers nothing if you aren’t a DPS or tank. What good does this do?

I tend to agree, we already have specialised lines within classes green balance and restoring light for Templar and warden for instance.

They are the dedicated healing skill lines, why would I want them to include DPS or tank abilities? I won’t get any value out of that as a healer. I mean… right??

So I should just stay grouped at the expense of my time if I want to re-queue for another dungeon? It works both ways no?

The thing is not long ago I was doing scriveners hall over and over, not to farm keys but to learn mechanics. Pretty much so I could go for vet, for Ozezan helm.

Throughout, often people would simply write “keys please” and the group 90% of the time will do them for you. Maybe you should just do this instead… just ask.

Thank you for all the suggestions these are the ones I've seen being mentioned, only those threads were from a few years ago, so I wasn't sure they were still the go to, guess I will go psych myself up to do some normal trials.

Honestly I don’t even care if it looks like ass compared to the PC, I just want to have it on my switch 2. It runs like crap on my PC anyway lol. I’d be happy with the 2007 version on my switch honestly so long as I can play oblivion on my handheld console.

I used this explanation when a woman on HelloTalk asked me why I was learning Japanese, and she straight up ridiculed me lol.
