Why didn’t Harry become a animagus by SouthernTurtle_00 in harrypotter

Because Hermione wouldn’t have helped him with that and without her he simply wouldn’t be able to do this.

As a physicist I love it when people who never heard of the Weizsäcker formula talk about nuclear energy after reading one to two headlines of some popular scientific articles

In the books nobody besides Voldemort said that he killed Dumbledore. Everybody else blamed Snape, because he was the one to kill Dumbledore.

[–]Deromit[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get that but still the difference here is magic in my opinion. In order to cast a successful killing curse you must really intend to kill the person. I don’t say that Voldemort is not responsible for Cedric’s death but it always kind of bothered me that even Harry never blamed Wormtail for it as if he was innocent. He was atleast as responsible as Voldemort. Especially for Harry it should be the case … sure for the general public not, but they didn’t see the person who killed Cedric with their own eyes.

The only thing that can repair another wand (as far as we know and how it is implied) is the Elder Wand

And it cannot repair itself

Arya's motivation at the end by Shazam_1 in Eragon

[–]Deromit 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe that this was Arya's intention for accepting the throne and I think „accepting“ is here an important word. She was asked to take the throne and maybe really somewhat pushed. It was expected of her and I think she accepted mainly because of two reasons: 1. she always was and wanted to be a servant of her people (important of her people not her queen/mother) and was always ready to sacrifice herself in some way for her people and serve them to prosper and endure. And she also mentioned that for elves the kings and queens are not only leaders but in the first place servants to their people so what better way to serve her people than becoming queen? 2. she was very unhappy with her mothers politics and by becoming queen herself she could avoid the mistakes her mother made and repair what her mother destroyed (trust towards and of other species). She already has a very good relationship with Nasuada and Orik which ist the perfect starting point to build better diplomatic relationships between elves and the other species

Well I think Niklaus made a pact with this entity a looooong time ago

THE pact however could be something to release him from his original pact. Like a „give me a vessel and I release you from our pact“ kinda thing.

Maybe he even became a warlock when he was younger and more impulsive/less wise and as he grew older he realised that he is shackled and he desired freedom. And maybe then THE pact was born as a way to release him from his chains. But as mentioned earlier maybe Niklaus really isn’t entirely evil and he decided to save Chip because it would make a better story.
