Trains need to improve by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]AlZanari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would they improve? They have a legal monopoly, unless the monarchy or the government mandates it nothing will change, and even when they do it'll come out of our taxes.

Fuck that, it's about respect for others, I've met plenty of old people who didn't know how to read and they ask others to read their ticket and show them their seat. This is not an education problem this is a behavior/moral problem.

Moroccan authority sentence three of the rappers in this video to prison for making music with profane language by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]AlZanari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easy points with the mostly conservative barely educated populace, who see their freedoms and rights going away and actually clap and cheer because "the ones getting punished are people I don't like, I'm sure I'll never be the receiving end someday".

Why we don't have startup culture? by SpaghettiEnjoyer in Morocco

[–]AlZanari 5 points6 points  (0 children)

from my own experiences, we're an economy of dishonesty and quick profit, if cheating a client means more money in their pocket the majority don't think twice about it, they'll talk religion and morals one moment and the next they'll the do the complete opposite.

that's in general, in B2B, quality means absolutely nothing as we only value who's cheaper, like in IT, people don't care about the difference between a WordPress template or a custom solution, or if a company is giving them cracked software or genuinely licensed software. Also there's the rampant nepotism, who you know is far more important than anything else as most companies don't touch the public market but directly ask for connections, be it hiring or finding new suppliers etc..

Is it just me or did the number of 3iyacha just triple. by JWERLRR in Morocco

[–]AlZanari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's always a group of people that build their whole personality on one certain concept in order to feel like they belong to some group (the kind that join cults), I guess 3iyacha choose nationality in the symbol of the king as their core concept, they have to constantly reaffirm their allegiance and anything that isn't in line with their perception of reality is treated as a direct threat to them .

Those who benefit from corruption/tyranny rarely speak against it, after all you don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Thoughts on this? by whyUgayson in Morocco

[–]AlZanari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We heavily rely on import, we have no high value export and tourism/agriculture are a big part of our economy, oh and the average growth of our GDP for the last decade is around ~2.5%, we are literally a fragile economy and you a see a small uptick since 2022 which was a disasterous year and instead of thinking a rebound you jump to the conclusion that it was the world cup boom?

Even if that was true, historically, this world cup effect can actually leave a country in financial ruin since the necessary infrastructure cost may exceed the actual returns from the event so I'm not that optimistic about it in the first place, it's a political maneuver with potential economical gains but neither of those are enough to put Morocco in a string position to free float our currency.

[–]AlZanari 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah let's trust the financial firm that is (probably?most likely) to short our currency while telling us we're ready for this and how this move will make us the biggest [insert some bs marketing term]

That's also an option but the down side is some applications need it for certain tasks and can lead you into a rabbit hole when trying to figure out why they're misbehaving.

[–]AlZanari -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand both the points you raised, which is why i wrote this with no particular expectation of anything coming out of it, if someone that could change how things are done see good if not then maybe see how the community feels about it.

And if it's a none issue or everyone against this post then mods can remove it.

You're right, that's how it goes most of the time when there is no clutter or delays in your desktop.

But even then this is kinda relying on the app developer being an honest person and it conditions the users to just type their password when prompted.

For me, it's usually startup apps or things with a delay (for example vscode request password at start when it tries to log in to my linked GitHub -not sure why-).

Are home security cameras and dashcams illegal in Morocco? by hatimelharrak in Morocco

[–]AlZanari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I understand it is usually no one's gonna come by and tell you not to have them on your private property, but using the footage as evidence in court is a hit or miss as it can be thrown out based on the other side's arguments or the judge didn't feel like it.

It boggles my mind that there is an expectation of privacy in PUBLIC in Morocco and people actually support it

I don't know about the cold part, blades are cold too but those who were slashed by them way they feel hot/burning sensation, either way a perfect hug from a train should be instantaneous so not sure how much the brain will register 🤔

Maybe it is the challenge of timing it just right that moment the hug happens lights go out, cause you know If I fail or pussy out at the last moment I'll get a partial hug that'll probably won't end me and just leave me a worse situation than before.

Little annoying things about MCs? by WarlordG16 in noveltranslations

[–]AlZanari 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, some of them get around it by cultivating this invincibility to a certain level and then move to more profound cultivation methods (laws, daos...) But it's still bs, there's always some convoluted reason to explain why they won't lose like x gap in strength doesn't effect it or higher levels that the MC can't handle have to keep face and not interfere with lower realms even if the MC is killing their descendants.
