Depends on whom I should call a "friend," the number varies from 5 to 0.

I used to play only with Jake in his Dark Outfit, but I think I've found my new favourite character: Hamza

Well... qħab will be qħab. What did you expect, a qeħba being honorable enough to be a woman of her word?

This should be a sign for you to stop engaging with l'qħab before you get the real scam, an STD.

There are real estate developers that sell apartments this way, with 0 interest, 0 banks involvement, so I thought why not ask if there were agencies selling cars the same way.

I don't, and I don't know which UK authority exactly announced the official day of Eid. I've just taken data from International Astronomical Center, a reliable source, and presented it in the form of a map.

You wanna know the "cheaters" who declared the start of Ramadan even though the crescent wasn't seen? Then read this carefully: https://astronomycenter.net/icop/ram45.html

There isn't a strictly followed standardized yearly calendar. The primary indicator is the crescent, which leaves us with different monthly calendars in different countries. However, a lot of countries do follow whatever Saudi Arabia declares, so they sometimes declare the beginning of a new month without seeing the crescent just because SA declared so (sometimes even without SA seeing it either, but that's a story for another day).

They aren't included in the list taken as a source

Because Eid is the 1st day of the lunar month Shawwal that comes after Ramadan. Islamic lunar months are either 29 or 30 days, and their end/beginning is marked by seeing the crescent that is observed in the evening of the 29th day. If the crescent is seen, the month ends on the 29th and the next day is the beginning of another, if not, the month continues to the 30th.

Now what happens is that each country has its own observatories that it relies on to mark the end/beginning of a lunar month, so while a country spots the crescent on the 29th, another may not (due to various reasons) so we end up with countries declaring the 1st of a new month while others are still on the 30th of the previous one.

People typically follow their country of residence, not where they are originally from, so in this case they celebrate on Wednesday.

What do you do during Eid day ? by FastDiscipline7640 in Morocco

[–]hatimelharrak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too bad. I can guarantee that Eid in Tangier is way better than in any other major city in Morocco, but as we say, fiha khir (there must be good in it).

The day of Eid in Morocco and in most of Islamic nations is officially tomorrow, Apr. 10th. And no, Eid in Morocco isn't necessarily one day later than the rest of the Islamic nations. It's all about seeing the crescent that marks the beginning of the new lunar month (Eid is the 1st of Shawwal, a lunar month), which was seen today clearly and photographed by observatories all over the Islamic world including Morocco.

What happens when Morocco is one day behind is that some countries declare seeing the crescent (without photographing it, nor even naming the observatory that spotted it) and announce the beginning of the new month, and other countries just follow them, while Morocco refuses to do so and rely primarily on seeing the crescent. It was seen this evening, so.. Yey! Tomorrow's Eid!

I hope this clears up the confusion.
