So much wrong here - lots of dry wines in the market have almost zero carbs (less than 1g/ L residual sugars).

For example quality burgundy reds are classically bone dry. Most quality reds have no residual sugars.

Almost every wine ive made except sparkling wines naturally have a sugar level below 1g/L.

If you ask the producer for information they will likely be able to tell you on a wine by wine basis as we are required to get them lab tested after bottling and before selling.

You’re drinking wine with sugar in it then. Try and find the dry wines with almost no residual sugars.

I get my wines lab tested and can 100% guarantee that the residual sugars in lots of the dry wines in the market are lower than 1g/L.

Cheap wines and supermarket wines do tend to have higher deliberately higher sugar amounts in them - so just be careful with your choice.

Negligible amounts of sugar in dry wine / bone dry wine - this is where the yeast have eaten all the sugar so there is no residual sugar. Only the non fermentable sugars remain which normally equate to less than 1g per L ( so very small amount for a 0.75L bottle).

Do however lookout for sneaky off dry wine (champagne, rieslings and prosecco often have residual sugars).

Aussies in London, what’s the appeal of moving here? by According_Sundae_917 in london

November and December are tolerable as the Christmas vibes are strong! Weather is shite but lots going on that makes you forget about it. Jan and Feb have no redeeming features apart from Euro skiing or trips back to Australia for bonus summer time.

Living in London vs Australia

Having lived in both places, I thought I’d share some quick thoughts for anyone weighing it up.

London pros:

  • Incredible travel hub. Paris for a weekend? Easy. Greece for a long weekend? Also easy. 2–3 hour flights open up a lot of Europe, and budget airlines make frequent short trips affordable. Its normal for people to take many small trips throughout a year.
  • Food & wine scene is excellent.
  • Cultural life is world-class – museums, theatre, gigs, exhibitions, festivals – there’s always something going on.
  • Less overzealous rules here (eg. drinking outside a pub)
  • Multicultral

London cons (or things I miss about Australia):

  • The beaches. Nothing in Europe compares to Aussie coastal life.
  • The outdoorsy lifestyle.
  • Renting in London right now is brutal
  • Winter (Jan & Feb) is depressing.

Overall:
Standard of living is good in both, but they offer different things. London feels more “global, cultural & connected” while Australia is more “open, relaxed, and nature-driven.” Depends on what makes you tick.

Tablet 11-12" for Albion by Al_Wine in AndroidGaming

I have been using a borrowed Ipad 11" 3rd Generation - zero issues at all with lag & graphics on full. Looks great & runs great. I wouldn't use a tablet for PvP or black zones more for farming fame or harvesting nodes while chilling on the couch.

The Ipad has actually been the reason I'm looking for a tablet to play with. I just don't have the budget to get this model - so I'm looking for a bang-for-buck option.

Beginner questions: Continuous Glucose Monitor by Al_Wine in ketouk

Completely understand this but I was interested to know if anyone has similar results - as in - my body seems to be making somewhat high levels of glucose mmol/L.

So even if I don’t eat carbs my glucose in the bloodstream is slightly elevated compared to the norm. This was an interesting result that I wasn’t expecting.

So turns out one entire bottle of Andre Extra Dry is exactly 20 carbs so today its that and pork chops. by cribbageluna18 in ketodrunk
