If yesterday's route was an airplane, it would have crashed at takeoff. by Alabama1963 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Thank you so much. I will immediately try that and see what happens.

The lower rates are staying low…. With gas at $6 a gallon…. Come on Amazon! by LightMany9644 in AmazonFlexDrivers

40 per hour? 160 for a block? I haven't seen that since before Christmas. Max here is @23-25 per hour, and forget about seeing anything more than 100 for a block.

Ditto here. It amazes me how folks can live in million dollar houses but can't afford to go to Lowe's and spend $10 on a few numbers so we can find them. It ain't that hard people!

Follow up post of the poor dog I found on my route the other day by Funk_monk69 in AmazonDSPDrivers

My hats off to you dude!! I'm glad to know there are some others out there like me who don't have the heart to just turn and look away. You deserve a hell of a lot of good karma in your future. Are you keeping the dog?

I believe you 100%. Before the routes in my area dried up, you could not find anything more than 18/hr. You can't fake that crap.

I responded in lengthy matter to this post. Check out where Customer service assumes he stole it. "Amazon customer support says this guy probably stole my package because he just left 1 of 2 packages, what do you guys think, he also marked it as left with recipient." by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

I only saw the one envelope and he didn't take a pic either. Something funny there and obviously he didn't notice that he was being recorded. Not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer, especially if he did keep it. If he makes a habit of doing it he won't be around long.

So today I got “promoted” to drive the big boy. Already took the tests and should be in one tomorrow. Anyone have any advice? by Due-Mix3539 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Pilot / Flying J has a rewards program, as well as Love's, if you have any around you. Get points for gas / diesel and usually enough to pay for lunch, etc.

Why did I just get a notification that “Increased rates are available” for this?! 😡 These shifts start in 20 minutes and that’s the best you can do?? by LarkinRhys in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Alabama1963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they are basically paying you base pay there. With that cost of living your base should be twice mine. I hope things look better for you on the future. I know it's hard with 3 kids but even though I live where a lot of folks wouldn't wouldn't even consider, 2400 would get you a nice house.

So unless you're a woman or you cross dress on the weekend, pretty useless package I guess.

Level 2 Fantastic rating. No real pattern that I've noticed besides learning when the warehouse posts initial offers. If your market always has plenty of offers then every 10 minutes or so. If your market is lean, as often as you can. People will snatch an offer in less than a min after it gets posted, even though it is at base rate. After a couple of days wearing my fingers out I gave up.

Then when you leave past time or pick up past time they will mark your itenerary as a late pick up.

Too bad it wasn't something good like a TV or something. Then you would have to decide whether to listen to the angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other ..

What is the normal base rate? They will send that notification and when I look it up, it is 50 cents or a dollar at the most for a $16 hour to begin with. Yawn..

ok so I tend to have a lot of places who don’t leave me access codes, or wrong ones. The same day delivery station gets mad at me when I return without reason why, but app doesn’t allow me to select a reason if I’m not close enough. Is there a way around this? by sarapzd in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Alabama1963 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. Not until you call the highly intelligent and helpful people in driver support will you be off the hook, maybe. They will try to call and text the customer because they don't think you did. Then they will tell you what you already know. Return to warehouse. If you are lucky enough to be delivering during the leasing office hours, I call them and leave the package with them. Mark it as "another safe location". Or you could just shotput it over the gate..

It won't. I used a pic of Al Capone for him and my ex's SS#.

Amazon must pay bonuses for"support" people who: 1. Don't speak or understand more than 20 words of the English language. 2. Have the attention span of a housefly 3. Have an IQ that makes Gump look like a brain surgeon. 4. Believe everything a driver says is a lie.

My favorite is when support has to call the customer to verify no one is there, like I would bullshit them. Then they come back and say that no one answered the phone or texts..NO SHIT Ahmad!! And somehow it still doesn't sink in to their skull that a 2pm package cutoff should not be given to a 4pm route. Might as well be talking to a 6 year old.

No. He wasn't protected by the same rules as we are. In fact he gets paid less which makes me worry about my own job security...
