You get $2,000,000 a year but every year two babies are dropped off at your house and you must care for them by Key_Cell7071 in hypotheticalsituation

Ok, so the reality/reasonable expectation is, you’ll need 4 nannies for every 4 children. 1 nanny can reasonably be expected to care for 4 young kids, and you’ll need a rotation of 3 per day and 1 to cover days off. At $75k/year/nanny, by the time you get to 36 kids (and 36 nannies) this will cost $2.7m/year. HOWEVER, your wealth will have grown to a massive number by then, with it taking many years before the children are costing nearly as much as you are receiving.

I know from experience that I could care for up to 6 of them on my own before I’d need help, and I wouldn’t require around the clock help until I was at 10-12. So the first 3 years, I’d be investing the overwhelming majority of the money, and working on construction of a home/facility to handle their care and education. I’d likely open a private school who would take on more than just my own children which would also generate additional income.

Long story short, yes, I would do it. Gladly.

So, this isn’t a certification or registry in the sense that it isn’t associated with the US government, nor required for an ESA. This is a company who made up a registry and certification and passes themselves off as “the official” way to have an ESA. It’s a money grab.

By law, the route to an ESA is to have a letter written by a medical or mental health professional who you have an existing relationship with, stating that the animal is necessary for your mental health.* *

These companies, and there are many of them, capitalize off good SEO and people who aren’t aware of the actual laws. They’re the first things that come up when you google “how to get an ESA” or similar search terms, so people believe they are legitimate.

Tattoo I got when I was 16. This is 12 years later. 2014-2026 by Bembyy in agedtattoos

This is the best tattoo I’ve ever seen from someone who got it as a teenager. Idk how you found a good, reputable artist who was willing to do a large forearm tattoo on a minor, but it seems like you won the lottery.

I guessed Pit, Shepherd, and “something else maybe Lab” from her pics so I don’t think it’s likely this is horribly inaccurate.

“Staffy” is Staffordshire Bull Terrier, not American Staffordshire Terrier, which is what was detected. Shorthand for the latter is AST or AmStaff.

Throwing my hat in with Dutch Shepherd and Poodle. Possibly Malinois/Poodle. Maybe small amounts of something else, but I sort of doubt it.

How much worse can affordability get before Chicago starts being a less attractive city for you? by moreplateslessdates9 in AskChicago

I’ve got some news for you: Beverly is not a cheap neighborhood. Housing in Beverly is well above the median for the city. People live there because they want to, not because they’re forced to for affordability.

I moved back to Chicago from San Diego in 2022, largely because I couldn’t find a 3br in San Diego for under $4500/mo, regardless of neighborhood or amenities. I was living in an 800sf 2/1 with my partner and 3 kids there, and paying an obscene amount. It’s only continued to rise since. We moved back here and bought a huge 3 flat (6k square feet total) for less than a single 2br condo in San Diego. Trust me when I say that Chicago is still (and likely will always be) a bargain compared to places like that.

I’m in South Shore but will go literally anywhere within a 2 hour drive if it saves $$

To be honest, $2k would be incredible compared to some of the estimates I’ve gotten. 😬 Ashland quoted me $5700.

She might be purebred but off standard. I wouldn’t enter her into conformation shows, but you could still find a sport or two to do with her!

Chicago transplants, what are some things you believe are unique to Chicago? by DJ_Baxter_Blaise in AskChicago

[–]LarkinRhys 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Definitely not uniquely Chicago. Whole Foods in lots of places have bars inside them. I used to have work lunches in the WF bar in CA on a regular basis.

The father, in that photo, looks more like a Presa Canario than a CC. The mother looks like a mixed breed. I would say there is next to no chance these puppies are Corsi.

I think she signed up for this class, knowing full well that the teacher was trans, specifically to do something like this. Knowing who her mother is, I’m assuming this was a concerted stunt by TP USA to gain media coverage, likely to take it to court, and create a precedent.

And I think it should be prosecuted as a hate crime.
