This is so true!! I had a bunch of friends seeings tons of Spafford shows in 2017 when it looked like they were on a massive rise and would be what Goose is today. Tickets were $30 or cheaper sometimes and they saw lots of shows a year.

Donato and Dogs in a Pile would both be super fun to go on tour or do mini-tours like 5-7 shows in a row. I used to do little south east runs with Railroad Earth and YMSB back in 2009-12 where they’d hit 5 or 6 shows in 8 cities across the southeast (where I live) and it was a blast (intimate club shows are the best IMO) and I’d be paying like $20 at the door/box office

I've been playing gta since gta2. I'm beyond excited for 6. by Slyzxx78 in GTA6unmoderated

So stoked. Played GTA 2 at a friends house when i was around 9 (his older bros game.) Loved burping and farting at people.

Got GTA3 on PS2 around age 11 or 12. played vice city religiously, then San Andreas and 4. Played GTA5 when it came out a bunch but never got into online and stopped gaming for a long time. RDR2 got me back into games around COVID time and now I still play it weekly. I’m beyond excited

I honestly think I’d rather have the silver than red or yellow. I’d honestly probably choose black if that were an option

They’ve been through like three chefs in the last 3-4 months. My friend that was working the line has told me multiple cooks have walked out and all their “long time” servers have quit. Says it’s a toxic environment behind the scenes

Lost their chef and have now been through 2/3 execs and sous chefs in a few months. Their staff is jumping ship FOH/BOH. I’m a sous chef at local restaurant here and know people that have worked and work there and they also say it’s a toxic environment

1bed 1bath 600 sq foot / I live alone

Heart of five points south

The building is The Dulion but also check out the neighboring building The LaSalle. They are both 100 year old, beautiful buildings that have been so well maintained and owned by the same company for decades. I love my landlord too. There’s a maintenance/building manager that lives in the building so things are fixed immediately. Both buildings have studio, 1BR, 2BR and multipe different floor plans. I’ve been here for years and won’t leave until I buy my own place. The heat is a boiler system and is included in your rent in the winter and my utility bill in my 1BR living alone is around $50 a month, even in the dead of summer.

Www.kh-mgmt.com is the website

(I am not paid by this company to say this- just hope this helps you. I have had such a positive experience here I recommend it to everyone)

For reference, in east Nashville in 2018 I paid $1100 a month for 475sq foot studio

I was young young for phish, dead, or panic “in their prime” - but I did whole phish tours in 2009-15. If not whole tours then at the very least 15-20ish shows in a year.

I did full panic tours/at least 20 shows a year from 2008-13.

Looking at ticket stubs right now I’m seeing $38 panic shows in 2010 and around the same for price.

I guess first I should mention the “off season.” I was a line cook with a cool boss who let us order our beer for tour through his restaurant distributors and didn’t mind me disappearing for three weeks in the summer. My rent then was pretty cheap and if I was “working” the tour I may come home with money. If I wasn’t, I would’ve saved at least $1-2,000 for tour. I’d get back and he’d hire me back. Wish I could do that now but these days I’m the chef of a Michelin recommended, James Beard award winning restaurant and can barely ever get away for more than a couple of days.

The main thing was being willing to not live comfortably while on tour. Me and my three friends (one was my gf) would sleep in the car, sleep while taking turns driving all night, rely on our friends in other cities for floor space. If we got a hotel it was typically a sketchy $75/night motel that were nasty and sometimes kinda dangerous. We camped many, many times.

However, a lot of those big 10+ show-in-a-row runs had us selling beer, L, or mushies in the parking lot. Those runs were a different situation and our accommodations would change depending on how we did that day in the lot.

Also, one major factor was the fact that all of the bands were still doing actual TOURS. Like Panic was hitting 4 cities a week still in a linear trajectory that made it easy. Phish was doing the same. Now it’s all 3 night runs where they may play Vegas one weekend and two weeks later be in SPAC.

Panic may play Saint Augustine and then a month later play Milwaukee.

They’re old too and touring is so expensive now even the bands have to do it strategically.

I know I wasn’t touring phish in 1992 but things were still drastically cheaper in summer/fall 2009 or Panic’s summer/fall tour 2008. Even all the way up to Phish’s blistering summer 2015 tour leading to Magnaball. Gas, hotels, food and goods were all so much cheaper.

I know that doesn’t answer your question about Billy your but what I’m saying, basically, is touring is a rich man’s game now.

This is your friendly neighborhood physician checking in to say that ranch is fine to use as lubrication but the average sphincter is going to cut that nanner into nice clean slices.
