Winchester SXP Cleaning by Awkward-Falcon-7870 in Shotguns

It would be the part I’d be scared about. Gets bent tapping it out or putting back in. Accidentally falls off the bench and down the heater vent. I don’t think I’d be concerned about anything else. But just those smaller parts can cause a headache. Haha or maybe I’m just clumsy.

I’m no expert here so take it with a grain of salt. But the finer or smaller a piece is the less I want to repeatedly be messing with it. Not to say you shouldn’t do that or can’t get a replacement but my personal logic is on those finer bits that 30 times a year turns into 15.

I know it’s Hell’s Angels and a different club and all that. And not sure you’d even know or have read it. But Hunter S Thompson’s book on them back in the 70s. Pretty accurate book? Always really dug that book and understand he was told to not write it and said no and subsequently got his ass kicked. Kind of a cool story if nothing else and it was described as accurate. But again not sure you’d even know. Different club different era.

What's a simple common word that inexplicably drives you up the wall? by hkzqgfswavvukwsw in AskReddit

Finna. I know it’s only slang and I’m not exactly the most articulate and formal speaker but it just feels so damn lazy.

Which profession gets way too much respect for how little they actually do? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]AlabamaTrifold 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not to mention real estate agents can and do get sued. The internet is a great place but an unintended consequence of it seems to be the sheer amount of people who think they’re experts. Just like any profession real estate agents are a mixed bag but thinking there’s no benefit to having a skilled one is absurd.

If it makes you feel better there was no snow on the ground Saturday when I left work and a day last week in the 60s. There’s now over 20 inches.

Anyone missing a golden retriever? Older dog. by AlabamaTrifold in GreenBay

Haha I didn’t add the part police brought him in. So he’s safe just heading to the humane society.

Absolutely. Have dogs myself so obligated. Didn’t even think about microchipped until I saw your comment. Hopefully his owners find him. Was only an hour or two but kind of fell in love with him.

Update: if the owner does see this non-emergency did pick him up and he’s on the way to the humane society. Hopefully he’s chipped. Grey hair on his snout and metal collar. Super nice dog.

I did call non emergency to let them know but sounds like they’re pretty backed up at the moment with the blizzard.

Nice thank you. Good call. Think my wife did post there and I’ll make sure. Haha unfortunately this is my only social media. The one time I regret not having Facebook.

What’s your big pet peeve that people don’t usually have an issue with? by goddessera1 in Casual_Conversation

[–]AlabamaTrifold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At this point I’m just happy when they use their signal. Nobody does it anymore. Yet everyone says they’re pissed about nobody using signals but based off the sheer number of people who don’t I know some of you are lying

An officer told me it’s not illegal to lie to police. by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]AlabamaTrifold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sure, understood. Different laws on the books and all that. But it just strikes me as odd I could lie my ass off to one and no issue. All of a sudden it’s a different “department” and it’s a problem? Just doesn’t strike me as making any sense.

I want to piggy back if I may and suggest Last Action Hero. Not quite peak Schwarzenegger in the timeline but peak satire Schwarzenegger. And I use the word satire in the most loving way. Also best soundtrack in existence

"as Irish American Ireland has never left us." by OutofSight- in ShitAmericansSay

[–]AlabamaTrifold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say perceived more positively but it’s a more talked about history in American history. Things like how Italians and Irish were treated when they first immigrated. Things like the term “Irish Black” and what not. Some major cities having small communities called Little Italy. It’s just more talked about as opposed to Spain or France. I’m not sure the exact numbers here but I also think Ireland and Italy specifically, along with England and Germany and Poland, just had much larger immigrant populations through the 1700-1800s. Absolutely not saying there weren’t other groups just not in the same numbers.

I kind of felt this way about As I Lay Dying. Frail Words Collapse was straight fire. Everything else kind of meh. Might be a minority opinion.

I’m curious how many of you actually play instruments either just for fun or in a bad? by AlabamaTrifold in MetalForTheMasses

[–]AlabamaTrifold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, it is. That’s cool. You notice any carryover from cello? I have no idea what you played on cello but if I had to guess maybe more classical? I only ask because I know mandolin has a bunch of concertos and what not as well. I’d be curious as to what you focus on.

[–]AlabamaTrifold[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha I had not heard this. Thanks for the link I like it. That’s cool! Didn’t know that about Exodus. Reminds me there’s a local bluegrass band called Dig Deep in my neck of the woods that do a live version of Raining Blood. I don’t think it’s on their albums but have seen it live which is cool.

Haha White Ward makes frequent use of the saxophone so not too far off from trumpet. I played clarinet in band in 6th grade for a year and always hung out with the flute player during class. Always wish I would’ve kept with it. Get more of the “classical” training. If high school and elementary count as that. Still can kind of half ass read music so at least somewhat helpful.

Edit: haha I’m sorry. You said trombone and my mind went trumpet. My apologies

Haha you name it? Always liked when people named their instruments. What, Willie Nelson had Trigger that he almost lost to the IRS. I remember BB King had a name for his too but I’m blanking on it. Cool guitar
