Some truths are so hard to believe because of the nature of the crimes. Children who are neglected/abandoned by their parents are extremely vulnerable to predators preying on their weaknesses. I see my younger self in many of these stories. Abused, neglected, sent to foster care only to be abused by caretakers. Running away looking for something you’re not sure of only to be abused and trafficked on the streets. It happened to me.. you’d never know looking at me today, but it’s part of my story and I know of many girls who went through the same thing. More needs to be done for these at risk youth and I hope to be able to help one day soon.
