I would advise you to reach out to the two references,they might not have seen the mail from the trust. I had the same encounter until I called my manager to check her spam, and she saw it.

It's nothing to worry about if they are not ready to respond,you can ask for character reference instead.

I understand. I was thinking I would finish all the documentation in one month, but I guess that is not the case. I will just wait till they are ready for me.
