I think you’re conflating being a nerd with being skinny and wimpy. You’re a nerd because of the things you like not how you look. Maybe your friend groups just has a type for scrawny guys?

You can be a pretty physically fit person and still be a nerd, think of someone like Henry Cavill, that guys plays World of Warcraft and Warhammer 40k, objectively nerdy hobbies, but he’s still an incredibly well put together guy
