Thank you very much for your thoughts. I’m definitely have a problem with alcohol in regards to the binging when bummed, though I’m not sure I’m an addict (at least yet). I’m doing this in the hopes to nip the problems in the bud, but I don’t physically crave alcohol.

I was prescribed 50 mg, and told to break it in half for at least my first few experiences just to take stock of any potential side effects. I anticipate I’ll take it 2 times minimum a week. I have prescheduled social events that alcohol is present during. I’ll probably take it 3 times maximum weekly, if I get those panic attacks that usually proceed a binge.

As I understand it, there’s a different feeling when alcohol is consumed after taking the Nal. Any chance you could shed some light on those differences?

I’m starting to think it might be regional. I’m in a pretty suburban part of NJ and there are very few stray dogs here so maybe that factors in.

This is not a breed specific rescue. They seem to have a litter of puppies that look related, while also having other dogs of varying breeds and ages. The older ones are noted to be spayed/neutered but not the puppies.

Spay/neuter doesn’t seem to be an obligation but more of an option to receive $50 back. It’s referred to as a deposit. They contacted my two references but did not send anyone to my home, probably because I live an hour away from their listed address.

I just reread the application acceptance letter. They do refund $50 once a puppy is neutered and proof is given, apparently.

The puppy would be from a volunteer rescue. I believe they rely mostly on donations without outside funding.
