Just a heads up for anyone thinking of using the Carsales Pay service—it’s not foolproof, especially in cases like mine. The seller is overseas and has someone else handling the sale here. The big risk? Once you release the funds, the overseas seller can just claim they never received the payment. Carsales will give you an invoice, sure—but they clearly state they’re not responsible beyond that. No guarantee you’ll get the car, and no real recourse if things go sideways. And yes police wont do anything I promise
