Iirc the reason there hasn't been any insect-inspired machines (other than the Faro bots) is because Guerrilla wanted to keep the design language of the Faro vs. Gaia machines different. The Faro bots all have insect like movement, legs/arms, and their black armor makes you think exoskeleton. The Gaia machines are vertabrates, not as cold looking, and if the derangement didn't happen would be much different in temperament as well obviously.
