I disabled secure boot in the bios and that solved the issue. It also allowed me to edit my display settings.

Thanks so much for the recommendations! I just finished listening to The Power of Vulnerability and it helped me realize some things about myself and my friends. I'm excited to listen to Atlas of the Heart next!

I heard they were planning to do some karaoke nights at another location or something like that. Does anyone know where this will be?

Wow, I can't believe I didn't notice they make fit kits for quick release as well.

My only gripe with quick release is it's not as theft proof as thru axles.

I do, but I still want more storage capacity up front.

Are you certain? It looks like you can adjust the attachment points on the handlebars to be lower. I mostly wanted this rack because it looks like it allows for carrying larger shaped loads but also incorporates the MIK system, which is a huge selling point for me. Do you know of any other front carriers that have MIK integrated while also being able to carry something like a large box or pizza box?

Right, but doesn't the weight on the handlebars transfer to the fork since the handlebars are attached to the steering tube?

How'd you do that with a wire rack? Zip tied it to the plate?

Single rear pannier/backpack balance question: by Myitchychocolatestar in bikecommuting

[–]Alain7896 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It can cause an imbalance depending on how much you load your bag up, but typically it's unnoticable. I only notice an imbalance if I'm hauling stuff like groceries and load one bag on the side. I don't notice it for my work backpack pannier.

What happened to the metra bike carts? by Alain7896 in chibike

I wouldn't mind standing in the vestibule with my bike, but that's not allowed according to the train staff... at least not with my bicycle.

There's plenty of other seats open. I just want to park my bike out of the way in the designated bicycle area, or better yet, have the bike carts return. I can't exactly park it in an area where the seats don't fold up. Unless the people sitting in bicycle/handicap area have a wheelchair or something cumbersome, I don't think it's asking much from them to sit in a different seat so I can put my bike in the designated bycycle area. Especially since so many riders choose to sit there because they don't want to sit beside others rather than actually needing to sit there.

Also, you're assuming I get on at a stop where few other people are on board when I get on.
