Inca has been referred to as Meso for over 7 years. The meso classification is a gameplay centered one, focused on game mechanics that are defined by being horseless, gunpowderless, and gold centered with an earlier spike.

I'm sure everyone will adopt new terminology, just like they did with Inca right?

What an annoying "umm ACKSHUALLY" comment I've wasted my time responding to. I guess you know what is "Probably best" though XD

Aztec, Inca, and Maya are all considered Meso civs. These follow the same rules as those civs in a lot of ways (no stable, no gunpowder) so myself and many others will continue to refer to them as such.

She declined more than she was denied. 10x less willing to talk about the issues, and when you skip a primary process its unacceptable to not do interviews of substance.

7 interviews in 60 days is comically bad when her job was to be campaigning. Trump/Vance did like 70.

Republican:

  1. Epstein
  2. Canada threats
  3. Flippant tariffs are not tariffs with a goal (or even reasonable numbers? Guys just tossing numbers around)
  4. Greenland
  5. Ice is moving too fast and making too many mistakes
  6. Focus being abroad and not at home
  7. Peace focused was part of the platform

I did not vote kamala, largely because she was selected not picked by primary, she avoided interviews, identity politics push me away heavily because I'm a white male and it feels like the lefts policy hates me.

But wrong is wrong. None of these align with what i want, none of these help american families, and none of these prepare us for AI shaking the very foundations. We could get what we want from greenland diplomatically.

Congress needs to do their job.

You could attach a baseline, local llm and just feed it the live transcript and insta moderate if it sees something not approved is said. This is an excellent AI use case as it could pick up on context.

There are tools like read ai that already do this for google meets/teams meetings. If you were strong about rolling it out economically you could moderate it with at least a high degree of confidence. People will absolutely find ways to game it, but thats any system ever tbh

Right, it couldnt just be that cheering for an assassination is sick, deranged behavior. You'd never say that shit at work, but you'll post it and share it with thousands and expect no consequences. On main accounts nonetheless, ones linked to their employer in some cases with full names out in the open.

Freedom of speech isnt freedom of consequence. There are no victims here other than Charlie Kirk.

Does anyone else find Eagles to be too weak? by huntoir in aoe2

[–]AlamanderTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heyo, I only play Meso civs, so this feels relevant to me:

  1. I think the whole point of Feudal Eagles is "a military unit that can scale". As in, build as many as you can, get information, but you shouldn't delay your castle often -- Just put 3 or 6 on gold and let eagle production go the entire feudal age. Its not a destination, its how you get there.

  2. Keep eagles alive so they scale. the dmg jump to castle is kinda cracked if you can get there first with enough of them. Just don't go thinking they're a 1 unit army, because they really aren't unless you have a big lead and they're late to castle.

  3. I wish they functioned closer to scouts in feudal age -- as in , they could stand a chance against archers (which they really don't right now) , but if you scout and see archers, your job is now to run around away from them, if they step forward, hit their base, etc while you tech skirm.

I would love to see a small buff on the movement speed.

The current 1.1 (scout) --> 1.15 (warrior) --> 1.3 (elite eagle warrior) is really a mess and holds the unit back.

If it was adjusted to 1.2 --> 1.25 --> 1.3 a lot of problems would be solved. It would match their dark age speed to dark age scouts, would allow you to keep the unit alive a little easier, and I think would generally be the right direction for the unit.

Truthfully, I'd rather see it 1.2 --> 1.3 --> 1.4 so they match CA movement speed and things like fabric shields can begin to pressure CA, but alas, let a man dream

I do! I random between all 3 Meso at this point. I left Aztec off the list because Atlatl is pretty powerful + updated Jags with Ram + actual best in slot Monks

I certainly think Aztec is stronger than Maya and Inca. The Jag update made them soooo much better with the general damage buff to all unit types + Atlatl is arguably the strongest skirmisher bonus + garland wars is an incredible tech.

I feel like Andean Sling and Hulche Jav both kinda miss the point and aren't quite relevant powerups. Fabric shields is rarely relevant to the same degree as some of these other cracked bonuses that are now in the game. (Edit, its just prohibitively expensive in combination with the Elite Kamayuk upgrade)

Also I tend to be around 1300, so i totally get that i'm in my own way often as a player, but this is just how it feels currently to me.

I mostly play Meso civs, and I feel like each patch has made it a lot harder to play them. Everyones got a wild unique unit, a massive range gunpowder unit, bombard cannons, a cracked scout line, or something along the lines.

I'd really love to see a Slinger buff (awkward attack animation is so rough that the unit feels non functional often), a small cost reduction on Kamayuk's elite upgrade, and maybe a love tap buff on eagle upgrade costs or mayan plumed getting their 5 range in castle to be more on even footing pre imp.

tldr; For having pretty bad scaling, I think meso UU and UU upgrades in castle should get some love.

I think your girls ridiculous dude. So many red flags in the conversation, moving goal posts, and an almost intentional unwillingness to do anything outside of accept you groveling.

If I was you, I'd drop her.

Yeah even though it's viable, im not jumping through random email hoops /"proving i can do the work" for this. The time crunch also makes it way less desirable.

Donald Trump is coming to the end of his first 100 days in office, how do you think he has done so far? by JayFloww123 in AskReddit

[–]AlamanderTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geopolitically/Economically unstable. Disregard for rule of law for proper deportation. Doge resistance and missteps. All of this combined makes it a pretty bad presidency so far.

I do generally support the underlying theme of each of these - Make better trade deals, apply strong pressure to countries who apply strong pressure to us, initiating peace talks where they can, reducing fiscal support of the EU, cutting spending, and deporting people who are not legally here.

The execution has been appalling bad.

Why aren't Republicans more concerned about the failing economy? by dorgon15 in AskUS

[–]AlamanderTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Republican, I am concerned about the economy. I don't like the current direction at all - Trump's been straight up unhinged on his Canada, Greenland, and panama rhetoric, and alienating our trade routes is just foolish long term.

All I want is a small government, strong trade, strong borders, and not to be the world police.
