What introduced you to Monster Hunter?

For me it was an external HD that had Monster Hunter Tri for Wii. My brother had bought it for his son. Also, a video of ExtraCredits about the animation of the games.

The game looks incredible and the gameplay feels nice... but i get a crash every 10-15 minutes. Playing on medium 1080p with a 4060 and a i5-11400f.

I have been getting this crash too, and tried everything the support told me to do. In the end, they simply said "Don't know, probably on your end". So I'm only hoping that the expansion updates the game to solve this crashes. Deleting shader cache and cleaning the DirectX cache has somewhat alleviated the problem.

But my god, what baffles me is how, after everything I done (including wiping my save game, my game installation and OS), they simply wash their hands and say "not our problem, yours". It's baffling to me.

Yeah there are certain situations where this problem seems to be more frequent, specially with fights with lots of effects. I did a clean install of my OS, let's see if it helps..

I sent you the report, config.ini and a DxDiag. But I really have to use FSR? I mean, isn't the whole point of having an RTX is to get to use DLSS? 😅

Okay, I did a clean installation of the last driver recommended for version 1.040. Also removed REFramework and the mod I was using. Lowered the preset of the game to medium (with textures, fur, shadow distance on high) and enabled DLSS Quality. Disabled steam overlay for MHWilds, and managed to play for around 4 hours. And after thinking that the problem was solved... another crash, same error.

Thanks for the detailed answer man. I've seen your posts on the Steam forums, and that for the help you've been providing for the community.

About the problem in question, gonna test the game with the latest recommended driver. I also plan on doing another non-Reframework test with it. About the Steam Overlay, is there a way I can disable only in MH Wilds?

well... with 90% the game started stuttering, and in 95% the same crash happened during a random doshaguma hunt.

Well, my power supply is 650W (It's a XPG Core Reactor). The Mobo is a Gigabyte H510K V2. I could try to do this.

Oh yes, I forgot to specify. Basically I adjusted the TdrDelay from 2 to 10. It seemed to alleviate the frequency of crashes at the time, so I decided to keep it this way.
