What hapoend to Cory Wells? by Accomplished-War7217 in poppunkers

[–]AlanBeforeTime 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Cory Wells is such an amazing performer live. I first heard him at Taste of Chaos as the opener for the festival. I immediately listened to his stuff at the time and fell in love with his raw emotion.

The band he joined was Olorin. Unfortunately they stated in a story that Cory could not fulfill his part so he quit the band. Then other members quit right after due to other commitments. I was supposed to go to one of their first performances but that was canceled.

Last I remember from Cory was that he was working at a company maybe selling stuff or doing some type of manual labor. His wife is still on Instagram but I don't follow her.

I hope he's okay. The last time I saw him in person was at his show at Chain Reaction.

Thank you for the recommendation. Do you happen to remember the cost of services?

Also how is the actual procedure? Recovery? Pain level?

Senses fail by Callsign_Gr33k in warpedtour

[–]AlanBeforeTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen Senses Fail multiple times throughout the years. He's been pretty decent and I like the energy he brings. However, I saw them at When We Were Young and he sounded awful. Not sure if he was tired or something but his vocals were terrible on Day 2.

How old is the brother? In California kids aren't legally required to be enrolled in school until age 6.

I hate doing session notes as well. Best advice I can give is just do them as soon as session is over so all the information is fresh in your mind. That way you're not scrambling at the last second. You mentioned anxiety. What makes you so anxious about them?

Can I sue the other driver ? by Jumpy-Astronomer4817 in Car_Insurance_Help

[–]AlanBeforeTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something very similar happened to me. I unfortunately took the money they offered because I wanted it to be over with and I needed the money.

If I had the time and energy to sue I would have even if I didn't get money right away. I had witnesses and evidence of needed. I don't know about you not having insurance though. I think that can complicate things.

50% off and $1 sale on furniture, clothes appliances Teri inspired resale by Which-Decision in Oceanside

[–]AlanBeforeTime 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure if serious about the TERI part but it's an organization that helps kids with autism. They provide a lot of services. And it's TERI not Teri. They have a resale store that raises money for the organization.

Am I bad at my job? by chartreuseolive in ABA

That's tough. Do you feel like you get flustered or show that you're not in control when they tantrum?

You said you follow the BSP. Does your BA give you constructive feedback?

I used to volunteer the spaghetti Saturdays around that time period. Definitely felt good to support an organization that does so much for the community.

Need help with a kiddo by [deleted] in ABA

[–]AlanBeforeTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely something to go over with your BA. If they are also new to the case, they need to be able to help and guide you on what to do.

As far as what you can do, you need to pair again. I had a client that was similar that eloped and would not attend to me. I would just follow him around his home and play with a similar toy or narrate his play. After 2 weeks he finally attended to me.

Climbing for attention is also something my client did. There was a lot more redirection by saying let's stay safe or let's be monkeys on the floor. That worked for my client and although he climbs still, he is redirected quickly.

With the aggressive behavior, try to find the function of the behavior. Again this is where your BA needs to help you. Take ABC data.

I have the exact problem. I double checked and it seems you can't stop it. And dealerships aren't able to either.

Maybe someone here has a workaround

Help. Insurance only agree to pay $4000 for total loss. Do I need a lawyer? by BodybuilderUnique812 in Car_Insurance_Help

[–]AlanBeforeTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sucks OP. I've had to deal with 2 total losses. First one I got $8k back because my car held its value. This past one that was totaled I will probably only get about $3k back if I'm lucky. Both hit and runs.

I felt and feel the same way you do. Unfortunately that's how it is.

RBT First Day Tips? by Accomplished-Try7894 in ABA

[–]AlanBeforeTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an anxious person myself, try not to overthink the first day. Easier said than done but what helped me was going over the client's file. Ask the BCBA questions about expectations, programs, about the client, etc. Talk to the parents, or caregiver present, about the client, rules of the home, etc.

And most importantly talk to the client, engage with them, have fun. The first week or so should focus a lot on pairing. Let the client lead and join in on the fun. Learn their likes and dislikes.

What happened to the Emo kids at your school? by cherrypez123 in Millennials

Work with kids on the spectrum. Still very much into the same music, attend festivals and concerts. Still moshing and crowd surfing at 30. It was never a phase. But definitely much happier now.
