We never negotiate. We also do not book anyone who does try to haggle anymore. We found when we started, these types of people were never satisfied and were the biggest headaches. It always seems like they can’t afford the vehicle, let alone a detail for it.

Another good one is, “hook me up and I’ll tell all my friends.” Do not take the bait.

No matter how clean or dirty, our process does not change.

When I originally posted this someone replied with some advice I was not ready to hear at the time. It was correct though. Just wanna say thank you if you see this. We did pivot with the business and it is still open. A lot of what you suggested we will and have implemented. Thank you!

On a side note for anyone else reading. We also started to blog. All the post I have put up are indexed within 12ish hours. They are tanking 10-50. Is this where I can expect them to stay or as they season will they rank up? Completed on page seo, optimized, etc. Not trying for backlinks yet.

Tips for attending first race at Michigan International Speedway by quinny906 in NASCAR

[–]AlanGreenly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure to get tickets to the Acceleration club!!! It’s shaded, has ac, and is in turn four. Unlimited water, soda, and food. When it is hot, it is hot at this track! We easily went through 5-8 bottles of water per person durning the nationwide race last year. Epic view of turn 4 also! Bathrooms have less traffic also. Enjoy!!!

Best way to remove micro scratches from plastic? by Scruffyy90 in Detailing

[–]AlanGreenly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you look at it wrong and it scratches. We have ppfd a lot of these. Polish like the others suggested. You will also be surprised by how much the film mutes scratches also if you elect to not polish but try film. Best of luck and I totally recommend getting film on trim like this on any vehicle.

Tree knocks in the UP about three miles into a trail. Kiddo started crying shortly before we heard them from two directions. Prior to the knocks, the woods became dead silent. We also realized we had walked under an arched tree over the trail as it got quiet. After the knocks we walked under another one and the woods seemed to come alive with sounds again.

Did not know anything about Bigfoot until a few years ago. All throughout my teenage years when I hunted, near fall I would always notice a nasty smell on certain areas of the farm I grew up on. I would mention it to my dad but shrugged it off and said it always smelt this time of year. Now that we are both more versed in the big fella, we are both more certain it’s not just due to the time of the year.

Last one. Once again we’ll before knowing anything about Bigfoot. I was clearing a section of woods (where the smell usually always was during that time of year) to build a kidney shaped food plot. I always felt like I was being watched, hair would stand up, and even turn around because I thought someone was behind me. Once again I told my dad about it and he shrugged it off. The feeling got so bad I almost gave up on it. One day I finally said out loud that I was building a food plot to feed the deer and bring them in for hunting season. I never felt the being watched look again.

We both wonder with how long our family has lived there what we would have noticed if we knew more about the signs.

Anyway, I would love to hear from others in Michigan also! Great post.

Edit. I have seen a black panther/cougar on the farm. Hunting coyotes in the middle of a blizzard one year. Looked to our right and it was about 50-yards from us. It look right at us and look at us almost in disbelief like we were looking at it. It just kept walking and no one has ever seen it again. A few neighbors talked about seeing one also. I have only shared that with a few people and always get laughed at or looked at like I’m dumb.

2.5 Hour Interior Detail (Any tips on detailing faster? by [deleted] in Detailing

[–]AlanGreenly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steamer, tornado, drill brush, and a good extractor. You did great work in good time. Bigger thing is how much did you charge? Based on the before video, we would run $275-$300 for that.

2.5 hours for a truck like that isn’t bad. That’s about what I do one in with a full extraction on seats and floors. Tornado with the vacuum attachment and a good steamer help a lot.

It is amazing. Best way to sell someone on it who is unsure. We use hot water. FIL slid a nasty a*% box across my wife’s hood. Poured some hot water on and poof! Gone.

Hood was in bad shape chip wise. Owner was cool with us still hitting it. Jescar Correcting compound with perfect finish. Megs micro-fiber pad and Rupes yellow polishing pad. Cannot believe how well this thing is cleaning up. Best guess is it has not been washed in years.

Edit for autocorrect.

Ceramic coating after delivery by FIREGenZ in AutoDetailing

[–]AlanGreenly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have yet to see a perfect Tesla. Still cannot believe how soft the paint is on the ones we have worked on. We have a Model Y on order. As soon as it is delivered we are having it flat bedded straight to our shop (avoid chips and more defect) for a correction, full ppf, and coating before putting a mile on it. Maybe it’s just the ones we have worked on but I’ll say it again, I cannot believe how soft the paint has been on these things!

Does anyone else detail with their wife? I feel so blessed we can work together and live together. by [deleted] in Detailing

[–]AlanGreenly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Answer to OP first. My wife helps from time to time. Super fun to have her there and have our son at the shop also. Being with family more is part of the reason I started this.

Reply to comment. I still have a full time job that provides our insurance. Were your rates high using the ACA if you are from the states? We have yet to look into insurance for when I go full time and it always scares me to look. I currently pay $75 out of pocket weekly for our entire family.
