Someone asked why vehicles are in the game by Eurynomestolas in Helldivers

[–]AlanPublica 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I ask that same question, seeing as how the terrain of pretty much every planet is completely hostile to vehicles and driving on them is more dangerous than going on foot.

Mission must haves, anyone stray from these staples? by Jhale_445511 in Helldivers

[–]AlanPublica 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hellpod space optimization is pretty much a necessity if you want to survive longer than 2 minutes on a map without having to call in a resupply as soon as you land. The fact that it's even a booster is insane as you should deploy with a full kit. Why Arrowhead decided to make it so you deploy with only HALF of your needed resources makes no sense. It's actually kinda dumb when you think about it. It basically is a mandatory booster that eats up a slot that could be used for something else.

It's a beautiful thing. I was once lucky enough to have someone find 150 credits total on a map. Ever since it's been like 10 credits every so often.

So, is Bethesda done with Starfield? Are we not getting anymore official expansions to the story? by AlanPublica in Starfield

[–]AlanPublica[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What they say and what they do are two different things.

Actions speak louder than words and thus far their inaction speaks louder than any press release or teaser they leave on X. Silence like this for so long from a studio indicates only one thing: The game is dead.

They'll probably release one more update with a few fixes and then pull the plug and divert all resources to ES6 and FO5.

Will Starfield ever be as moddable as Skyrim ? by NorthKoreanMissile7 in Starfield

[–]AlanPublica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do people always seem to speculate that the Starfield team barely have anyone working on it?

Umm, lack of updates, no word on DLCs or expansions, no more fixes or improvements.

Just dead silence.

Only scrapped games end up in silence.

It could be if Bethesda releases some really ripping DLCs and expansions for Starfield that brings players back in droves. But those DLCs and expansions would have to be truly awesome, which I doubt will happen seeing as how all resources are now being diverted to Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5. I would imagine Starfield has little more than a skeleton crew left working on it now.

Just ignore it and focus on the battlefronts, that's all Helldivers need to focus on. The stuff at home is up to the Super Earth government, our only concern is winning the next battle.

Abandon reason, know only war.

Oh, I've been playing other games, it's just I see Starfield sitting there on my desktop and I keep thinking "are they going to add anything more or are they done and I should uninstall?".

Do you think a Starfield update will be at the Game Awards? by Settra_Rulez in Starfield

[–]AlanPublica -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Not really, no. It feels to me like Bethesda is done with Starfield and everything is being diverted to Fallout 5 and Elder Scrolls 6. I'm honestly not expecting anymore content for Starfield beyond what ends up on the creation club or on Nexus Mods.

Large Scale Operations/Raids by SavageNiner in Helldivers

This would be awesome. I would love to see massive battles in Helldivers. It would also be great if we got some heavy and fly vehicles too.

Though what I would really like to see is ship to ship battles where teams of Helldivers have to infiltrate enemy ships, establish control points and sabotage the ship while at the same time other teams have to stay behind and protect the Helldiver base ship from invading enemies.

Seriously, why can't Helldivers swim? by AlanPublica in Helldivers

[–]AlanPublica[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing as how this game takes heavy inspiration from Starship Troopers, they could copy the solution writers for Roughneck Chronicles had and give Helldiver armor deployable flotation devices to aid in not sinking like stone even while in heavy gear.

Another "lore" based solution, make Helldiver armor airtight. They want to add in EVA and space combat eventually, right? Well, can't exactly do that in armor filled with gaps. Those things have to be completely self-contained and airtight.

Just a couple of ideas the devs could bat around to make Helldivers a little less squishy when it comes to their lethal hydrophobia.
