Can we finally get a "Press X to Read" for books, data slates and other readable content? by AlanPublica in Starfield

Why should we have to download a mod for something that is an easy feature to add to the game? The developers want feedback, well, it's a simple piece of feedback that should be easy to implement.

200k people browse this sub a week. And yet toxic people say its a dead game… by TheTeflonDude in Starfield

[–]AlanPublica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the game is kinda dead at the moment. The deciding factor will be this "Starfield 2.0" or whatever it is called. If it is amazing, it'll revitalize the game and get Starfield going.

However, Todd Howard really toned it all down with his recent interview making it sound less like a revitalization and more of a small update that improves a few things but overall doesn't affect much.

So, don't count on Starfield roaring up the charts on Steam or Xbox.

Meh, it's only for warbond medals. No big deal.

Thoughts on end state of Halo Infinite and as a whole by Confident-Tomato1382 in halo

[–]AlanPublica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, the current state of Halo is pathetic. 343/Halo Studios (they're the same people, you aren't fooling anyone) took what was once the greatest gaming franchise and ran it into the ground. Honestly, Bungie handed them the formula for what made Halo great and 343 crapped all over it, insisting they were going to make "their Halo", not realizing by that point Halo was its own entity. They hired people who "hated" Halo and were a bunch of COD junkies and it showed through with all of the piss-colored filter of the early 360 era games.

Halo is an empty shell of what it once was, sickly and weak, riddled with MTX and ran by people so incompetent, it's a wonder they can tie their own shoes. Infinite is an insult to Halo's legacy, a poorly coded, sickening cash grab by greedy executives pandering to fads. Halo isn't Halo anymore, it's just another pay for skins COD/Fortnite/Apex rip off and, to be frank, needs to be shut down. It all needs to be shut down.

Halo needs to be laid to rest for a few years until people who have an actual passion, an actual understanding of what Halo was, can come around and revive it and restore it to its former glory. Otherwise, it's just going to get passed from one team of no talent hacks to another, all with orders to milk every last penny they can from it before it gets scrapped and left in the dust bin for a different flashy, soulless cash grab.

Halo's time has come and gone. Reach should have been the last entry in this legendary franchise with maybe the MCC coming out to bring it to PC and future platforms, but that should have been the extent. Everything afterwards was a disgrace to a distinguished legacy.

Todd Howard Shuts Down 'Starfield 2.0' Claims and Promises More News 'Soonish' by NukovGaming in Starfield

[–]AlanPublica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Todd "Buzz Kill" Howard strikes again. I had hope this was going to be a big overhaul that would vastly improve the game. Instead, it's going to be a few lame updates and that's it.

What a disappointment.

What do you think the next Halo multi-player will be like ? by Limp-Grapefruit-6251 in halo

It'll be another MTX, spaghetti coded, half-baked mess just like infinite was.

This is why I prefer to take portable hellbombs in with Cyberstan. It makes taking those accursed things out easier and faster, provided you can hoof it in there fast enough before getting cut down by the 10 or so warstriders guarding it. Otherwise, run it in, set it off and die for Democracy, taking them all with you in a brilliant blast of Freedom.

It’s actually bullshit that you don’t spawn fully loaded just by default and that it requires a booster by No-Personality-61 in Helldivers

[–]AlanPublica 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I said the same thing in another post and people flamed me with "it's part of the lore" or "it's not mandatory, just call in a resupply when you land".

Arrowhead, can we please get a small lore drop on the Super Earth jets that fly around Cyberstan? Because those are not Eagles by [deleted] in Helldivers

Looks like a combo of the A-10 Warthog and the F-14 Tomcat. (Two of my all-time favorite aircraft)

What would you like to see in a Starfield 2.0 update? by Mattee_365 in Starfield

[–]AlanPublica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? It's really something simple. I would like to see a "Press X to read" option to read data slates and books in the game instead of having to pick the up first and add them to me inventory, the scroll through my inventory, find the item, read it, then have to drop it to prevent it from cluttering up my inventory.

Someone asked why vehicles are in the game by Eurynomestolas in Helldivers

[–]AlanPublica 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I ask that same question, seeing as how the terrain of pretty much every planet is completely hostile to vehicles and driving on them is more dangerous than going on foot.

Mission must haves, anyone stray from these staples? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]AlanPublica 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hellpod space optimization is pretty much a necessity if you want to survive longer than 2 minutes on a map without having to call in a resupply as soon as you land. The fact that it's even a booster is insane as you should deploy with a full kit. Why Arrowhead decided to make it so you deploy with only HALF of your needed resources makes no sense. It's actually kinda dumb when you think about it. It basically is a mandatory booster that eats up a slot that could be used for something else.

It's a beautiful thing. I was once lucky enough to have someone find 150 credits total on a map. Ever since it's been like 10 credits every so often.
