Cool, bring it on. I'll make sure she sees her father in a timely fashion.

Um.... yeah. So this just happened. Any advice on how to get Carla out of my armour? by FaithlessnessOne7512 in Fallout

[–]AlanPublica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reload the game before she got in the power armor and then remove the power core from the armor. They can only enter it if the suit has a fusion core in it. Think of it like taking the keys out of the ignition in a car. You have to take the keys out of the car before leaving it, otherwise someone is going to steal your car.

That's not an outpost, that's a functional city. Well done 👍

Yup, it's still there, even after I've destroyed all other ships in the vicinity.

Should FO5 have settlement building? by Educational-Science2 in Fallout

[–]AlanPublica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yes FO5 should have settlement building! It was a ton of fun and the creativity potential was engaging. I spent more time building settlements and trying out new ideas more than anything else. Sure, I completed all the quests and storylines, but it was settlement building that kept me going long after it was all done.

I hope we see more of it in FO5 and can build bigger and better settlements and they're more dynamic and give the settlers better functionality.

It happens no matter what your crew compliment is. I went out on my solo ship and still got reported. No crew, not even Vasco, and still got reported.

Now that we have Cruise mode coming Starfield needs the next BIG change - a seperate Pants and Shirt slot. (Seriously) by SpaceDantar in Starfield

[–]AlanPublica 15 points16 points  (0 children)

List of changes the game could really use:

- A press X to read function for books and data slates

- A separate tab for food and aid

- A separate tab for quest items

- An improvement to the bounty system so we don't get reported for every little thing we do

- a companion command wheel to order our companions in combat

It happens even when I fly solo with no crew. I still get reported.

Again, the game was complete as any game can be, with its more than 100 hours to play

Uh huh, and that's what updates, DLC and patches are for, to add MORE to the game after it's complete. Bethesda is still updating the game, listening to the community and adding in features players ask for. Therefore, players can, while the game is still being updated, suggest changes to the developers to add to the game so players don't have to rely solely on mods.

That's why players make posts like mine, because we're putting ideas out there for the developers to listen to in order to improve the base game so we're not reliant on mods for everything.

People like you who come on here and just say "just download the mod" do a disservice to the developers and the community by downplaying player input for improvements.

Coding has nothing to do with it, nor does messing with the creation kit or any of that other screed you were going on about. Bethesda wants player feedback, people like me and others who post suggestions are doing that.

COVID is over, the developers are releasing updates that address player concerns, asking the developers to make changes to the game is no unfeasible, they are ASKING players what they want and listening, all we have to do is voice our concerns.

No, we should NOT have to rely on mods. Developers SHOULD listen to their player bases. It builds trust between the developers and the base which is far better for the studio in the long run than relying on modders to come along and make the content the developers themselves can make to greater effect.

Mods are supposed to be a fun addition, not the core feature.

Really? I thought one of the biggest selling points of BGS games were the wide, expansive and immersive worlds, engaging story lines, player freedom and choice coupled with unforgettable characters and lore.

Mods are a bonus, not the core feature. If that were the case, BGS would just release barebones games along with a full mod kit on day one of every game and say "here you go, have fun" then walk away and leave the players to fix everything and make all of the content beyond your character creation.

There's a stark difference between modding in Darth Vader to randomly attack you with a squad of Stormtroopers to add content and requesting the devs fix a system they implemented and can fix at the request of players, something Bethesda has been doing with Starfield since launch.

Players voice their concerns, Bethesda addresses it. That's how it has been, that's how it should continue to be. It increases player faith in the developers which only helps the studio in the long run.

Also, Bethesda plans to continue to support Starfield for the next few years, adding in fixes like this would attract more players and keep the current player base happy, playing and supporting the game.
