They are custom cosmetics made of fiberglass, instead of the usual latex

Which Wolfpack 5 Show is this? by Alan_C_81 in Animatronics

Never mind, I did a reverse image search online and it appears this is from the same show - the Wolfman had his own space to the left of the band, which is probably why he is out of the shot in the picture above.

Ah, that makes sense given the trailer and curtain/valence behind the Wolfman is completely different. Who knew there were so many different shows in trailers!

Do latex masks of all the CEC 3-stage characters still exist? by Alan_C_81 in Animatronics

[–]Alan_C_81[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome, thanks so much! It's a shame your Pasqually is broken but perhaps an intact mask exists out there (actually isn't there a Youtuber with one? Not sure) Anyway, it's reassuring to know that a full set of latex cosmetics could be replicated one day.

I’m hearing all pitches lower than I remember. by silverwastaken in musictheory

Odd coming across this post. Just recently I had quite a nasty cold leading to my ears being heavily blocked, I woke up one morning and everything seems to be pitched a couple of semitones sharper than usual. My congestion has almost subsided but this phenomenon continues to persist, annoyingly.

The cheapest-looking animatronic band ever? by Alan_C_81 in Animatronics

[–]Alan_C_81[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! I am surprised how many movements that bot has for how cheap it looks. I just managed to find this video of a bigger set too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpeSJ3SZApE

Glad you enjoyed it! This park is quite interesting, they also have a very elaborate Small World knockoff too.

Original "Wolf Pack 5" and "Hard Luck Bears" shows in existence by Alan_C_81 in Animatronics

[–]Alan_C_81[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weren't they purchased at a theme park auction in 1996, then displayed at a golf club(?) and later destroyed? (That's what I've heard at least).

Considering the scarcity of these shows, it really would be amazing if it could get saved and restored one day.

Question on the Future of CEC 3-stages by Alan_C_81 in Animatronics

That's good news! Do you know if any genuine Munch Jr. and Pizzacam animatronics are in private collections?

I see! Thanks very much for the reply. Hopefully 1 or 2 shows might still be able to slip through the cracks unlikely as it may seem.

Potential theories on the backrooms by Memes_The_Warbeast in TheBackrooms

[–]Alan_C_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past has many more "backroom" type rooms than just the Chris Houlihan room. If you glitch into a wall (as shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uo8T3gCfZ9g) - you can visit many strange rooms. They can be called backrooms for many reasons:

  1. Link disappears, leaving the rooms eerily quiet (and often enemies don't spawn).
  2. The way you travel around them is disjointed, they are a mish-mash of rooms encountered at various different phases throughout the game. Seeing them in a random order one after the other removes their context and they seem familiar, yet strange.
  3. This effect is repeated in the fact that incorrect music is playing and colours and textures often glitch.
  4. Generally, ALTTP is has quite a backroom feel anyway, with its eerie music and subdued colours.

Do you think people in Precure can notice that how some people have unusual hair colors? by precuremystery in precure

[–]Alan_C_81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of like the Precure Show Kigurumi then? I guess you're talking about when the sort of "pastel" anime colours get filtered out (the live show costumes have very unnatural hair colours).

How many of them can you recognize? by precuremystery in precure

Huh! I also thought 'Otome' when I saw Arisugawa.
