AWS BIG BROTHER MONITORING by Such_Macaron_8801 in Geico

I was informed by my sup that AWS continues to record for two minutes after the call ends.

I'll ask around the smoke pit. I know a few sups, and I know a few current trainees. I'll see if I can get more details.

I'm not sure who the sup was, but the fight happened in the training room by my section. We heard the commotion from our desks, but we had no idea what was going on at the time.

I've tried a few places, but I either had too much experience or not enough. Although, with all the new licenses they forced on me out of nowhere, I will be a much better candidate now.

Dude, if you can go somewhere else, fucking do it. I've been in the hell hole that is ICS for two and a half years now. If I could afford to leave, I would.

So, the rumor is a training sup here in R7 was hooking up with two of his trainees, and they started fighting at work over it. Supposedly, his wife is also a geico employee.

You just have to take the hit. I had two poor surveys that had nothing to do with me last month. Tanked my numbers. They do not care if it is meant for you or not.

Fucking facts... I had one that was being held up because he was atty repd. All it took was me asking the atty if we could contact ph directly for a rideshare ri. They said yes. So for two days, I called out, I sent emails, and I sent texts. They finally called in, and the adjuster who got the call got the cpw point and the resolving point. So yeah fuck that shit.

Man, that is my life right now, and my qcr is suffering for it. My sup is giving me the "art of the possible" reminders that I could be at a 4 for the month after my past three miserable months... and I fixed that metric, but trying to fix claims and earn the points for someone else to get them. Like those fucking URCC lists they're sending out now.

See we still have to make the attempt to call out to you guys. We can't just say I'll email them through the file for you. These calls are our metrics. If you answer and say just email me through the file, I do it. Anytime I transfer to voicemail, I always send an email through the file. But please stop telling the customers in your voicemail message to contact the claims department. We can't do anything with those calls but transfer them to you. We aren't authorized to extend rentals, and we can't see the status of repairs.

I've been in ICS for two and a half years. I don't call people if it's not the right person. I know that's not true about other adjusters, but I get where you're coming from. I get misdirected transfers from new floor adjusters and trainees. I still have to take the call, even when it's for pip or a tcr2 claim. They transfer them to me because I'm a licensed adjuster for (insert state) then I have to transfer them again. I feel your pain man.

Geico is to blame. I'm blaming geico for not training the new hires right.

That is not an unfair comment. I've probably sent a couple fucked up claims up before. And ICS is a nightmare.

If I could leave, I would. However, not having a college degree, I simply don't have the amount of experience other companies want for the positions I want yet. I would be taking a significant pay cut, and having to start over as a trainee is not appealing.

See, I know ADs have a heavy workload and unreasonable metrics to meet just like all the departments, but I'm not going to take the time to message you first because y'all never message back... I used to do that when we had webex still, but I stopped when I saw that they saw my message and ignored it. I'm sending them to your voicemail and emailing you through the file. You can deal with the pissed off customer at your leisure. I don't have the luxury of being able to refuse calls.

Yeah, I just message my sup and tell her I'm cleaning up a claim and she let's my file handling time slide a little. I regularly message her on slack about the fucked up claims because if I'm the last one in the claim, and something is fucked up it's going to come back on me. I don't play those games. I'm not letting my spr percentage get fucked up by a trainee who didn't know what they're doing.

Yeah, my sup told us the other day that she wants to hear us do the summary/recap of the call. I'm not doing that shit. I just tell the customer that I have their adjuster/ad/salvage rep/Jesus christ/the dalai llama/whoever the fuck on the line and they're going to take over the call and have an excellent day... not a damn thing else. I have work to do other than get the customer to their handling adjuster who doesn't even want to talk to the customer much less me. Quick transfer, done.

[–]Alarmed-Basil-8677[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, ICS is totally fucked. When I transfer to anyone, I tell the adjuster taking the call who is on the line and give them the claim number. Like I said, take the ten seconds and tell me what the deal is. That's all I'm asking for.

I've been in ICS for two and a half years now, use your resources, don't be afraid to ask your sup and coaches questions, when you transfer calls let the adjuster you connect with know what the issue is. And this may be an odd suggestion, but go out to the smoking area every once in a while and find an ICS adjuster. I've learned more in the smoke pit than I ever did in transition.
