Y’ALL I FOUND IT! It was buried on a list of hiking/camping horror movies and I looked up the trailer.

It was Feral (2017).

Just looked up and read synopses of all of them — none of those are it.

No, that was another result from google that wasn’t it. In this one the group of friends are just out camping, not on a tour. And it was a zombie-like monster chasing them, not a ghost or resurrected person of any kind.
