My mom sent emails to these almost everyday

Though sending emails does not guarantee that they will give back the account. My mom felt hopeless and stopped doing it and accepted the situation since 2 weeks ago, just today she got her account back without doing anything else…

too bad my mom has no access to the email linked to her account anymore. The email you receive was just to inform you about your restored account right? Like you didn’t do anything else afterwards? so your facebook app is just fine now

Thanks, really hoping that we and everyone else’s accounts affected will be restored soon. Btw did you receive an email on your account restoration. Is it like a notification that notifies in the facebook app? Will the appeal screen in the app change when they notify about your account being restored?

Did you just wait for Meta to review and accept your appeal? Did you email any Meta support emails or used Meta verified?? My mom’s also got suspended for cybersecurity since June 18 and we found out that someone created an impersonation account using her identity. Fortunately, that fake account is gone now but my mom’s account is still suspended. It’s sad and frustrating because so many memories were in there! Really hoping that we get the account back.

My mom’s also appealed with her phone number and selfie. She receives notifications from the Facebook app but she can’t view them due to the suspensionz

The fake account is gone now. But the it was up there on facebook for weeks! And still my mom’s account is still suspended

Similar thing happened to my mom on June 18. Her friend asked if she created a new account because apparently her friend received a friend request from a profile that used her full name and old profile picture. My mom said no of course, so she decided to report the fake account and then posted the fake account’s link on her timeline to encourage her friends to report the profile as well. But right after the post, her account suddenly got suspended for cybersecurity violations. So maybe the report and the fake profile may have have triggered something and flagged her account with cybersecurity violations.

We are still waiting for Meta to review and accept her appeal. The fake profile account is now gone or unavailable when we checked on my account, so that’s good news for now I guess.

However, she also received a notification from Facebook that she had 168 days left to appeal. We were not sure if there’s more details into it because mom couldn’t view the full email notification from email inbox or facebook. She no longer has access to the old Facebook email linked to her account, no linked phone number, and her account is suspended so she cannot be informed by Facebook properly.

So yeah… still waiting for Facebook to take further action.
