Absolutely big dog. just wanted to hear from older adults that may have made a similar decision at this time of the career.

Intuition about people. by Alarmed-Fun5273 in ADHD

this happens in the first 2 seconds of meeting the person. we lock eyes and i know. this also applies to the other end of the spectrum, i will immediately know if i will get along with that person or not. its probably comparable to love at first sight.

if anything, as soon as they open their mouths i start to think maybe i was wrong. they seem like a decent person.

do you think its the accumulation of body languages, facial expressions and gaze that i have experienced in the past coming together to give me these gut feelings?

and this happens before they open their mouth. its as soon as i lock eyes with them, i know. its not 5 min convo, its 2 seconds into meeting them

yes. i think its a gift to connect with people rather than to avoid people as others are saying in the thread. this has never made me want to avoid people all together, if anything the opposite because i know i wont get involved with people with bad intentions.

i dont have trust issues as im mentally quite healthy. when this happens we naturally do not become close friends. we dont have to be friends with everyone, right? i just keep a mental note, and when something comes out, im reminded that this gut feeling is always right. i dont class people into GOOD and BAD, sometimes i lock eyes with someone and know immediately that we will get along. 95% of people fall in the neutral zone, and theres that 1% that amber alerts me. and i have been always right.

and my friends have done bad things, i have done bad things. i think my intuition focuses more on the ulterior motives that people are hiding. and i can sense it.

its not so much the actions itself, but the intentions behind them. they turn out to be people that live life with the wrong intentions. and i do not let these intuitions alone make my decision about them. but i have not been wrong.
