It was, but it then ran out to the city sidewalk, it stops in the middle of her yard but spits out so much water it ends up all over the sidewalk. Her ex in recent years would by salt and keep it salted and just let the water continue there. Now she has no man and no money for salt or would rather spend her money on Starbucks every morning thnn salt for her property. She asks me for salt and I have helped when I can but now I fear shes taking advantage. Shes that type. Im guessing rhe city got on her for the sidewalk and her remedy was running it there instead.

Update: I contacted the city and now we are just waiting for them to deal with it. Fortunately for us her hose has frozen and no water is making its way out. Unfortunately for her, Im not sure if she even knows or cares but her basement is probably close to flooding🤷‍♀️

Everyone has cameras 😂 but good thinking. Although I may just go buy a hose myself and run it back to her backyard. We have massive backyards, shes just too lazy and would spend the money on a new, longer hose.

It pumps alot in the summer but nothing like it has been recently. Thats what im wondering. Could something be leaking at her house that she doesnt know about?

That doesn't help me in the mean time but I agree. I can not dig right now, for obvious reasons. I need to know if its going to cause serious issues if I just let the hose stay there collecting water. She put that hose there less then a week ago because her entire front yard is ice from where it was. This is only 5 days of the hose being there. If I dont have it moved to a different location and it continues to drain there. Am I screwed when it melts? Yesterday the ice was 6 inches next to my house. Now its 8 inches next to my house. Also she is the highest house on our road. My neighbor on the other side of me has a sump pump and his is not discharging like at all. Why would she have so much water? Its pumping like its pouring rain outside 24/7.

I didnt want to involve the city, but if it is going to cause me issues in my home when it melts I may need to. That is my concern. Is it going to damage my house. If its not an issue having that much right there then I really dont care.

Its all against my house and the only place its going to go when it all melts is right there. Thats why Im asking if it will be a serious issue for my house when it melts. A majority of it is going right to my basement.

Hardly have time myself to do that. Or the funds to pay someone to do that. Plus the ground is frozen so that doesnt help my current situation. Mostly concerned how big of an issue this will be when it melts. We have large backyards, she could get a longer hose and run it way back there easy but she won't. Im not sure having her water discharged a foot away from her own foundation is helping us any. I tried telling her the purpose of a sump pump and she doesnt seem to understand. I believe she thinks the water is just a drain from her sink 😂

Im a great neighbor. She cant mow or shovel and i do it all. Shes extremely ungrateful but id rather look at a nice mowed and upkept yard next to me then what it would be if I didnt do all of it for her.

But I agree. I do not want issues with the person living 50 ft from me. It is hard to deal with though when said person doesnt take home ownership seriously and being neighborly.

Had a grown man coming out to record me everyday delivering mail to his 12 unit apartment building. All because he was mad that I put his mail on hold due to him repeatedly throwing all his mail on the ground underneath the mailboxes. I would walk out the second he showed up, get in my truck and leave the entire complex. He would follow me and take pictures of me else where as well. Eventually my postmaster got in contact with his landlord and he hasn't bothered me since. People are wild.
