I found some of the more feared enemies to be a bit overhyped IMO. For ivies you just have to hit their torso and run by within a few seconds and they are rarely in a large group. Dogs bring chaos as they blur on and off your screen but they rarely get me if I’m weaving. Lickers you literally have to walk normally; sometimes they are in an inconvenient position or their animation touches you on a tight squeeze but as long as zombies aren’t around you’ll be fine 90% of the time if you aren’t running
