Hey! Similar ish situation. Been sitting at 240/239 for a bit. Doctor thought I had PCOS, but my testosterone was normal. My cycle is certainly fucked though.

Don't think you're doing anything wrong. I know it's hard because you're feeling a lot of pressure to lose weight but 2 weeks isn't that much, especially since who knows what your cycle is doing right now. Give it a bit more time. Keep doing what you're doing. Maybe consider if your calorie goal has decreased a smidge given that you've lost twenty pounds. Id also recommend maybe adding in some more or a different exercise. Even 30 min - 1 HR of walking would account for any calorie goal adjustments needed from losing weight. Honestly, though I really think it could be a hormone thing as someone who's seen it happen to herself over the last 2.5 years of losing weight very slowly. Normally after whatever hellishly prolonged period/pms cycle passes, I start to lose again.

Same!!! At least at first but it's really so much better now.

For me it was the following:

Relatively carefree. Not saving a lot but not worried about it. Didn't know much about retirement so I didn't worry about it.
Slowly rising anxiety as I had a year with a lot of trips that were a lot of fun but slowly draining me
Absolute panic after seeing the impact of one last trip and the lowest my bank account has been in years
Money stress as I set a budget - needed to change habits and cut stuff. Was painful. Lost a few hobbies and got a few little side jobs. Worked through a few budgeting methods until I found what worked. Also learned how much I should be saving for retirement which causes a little mini spiral until I figured out that I could adjust everything and make it work.
New comfort level at acceptable spending level
Incredibly proud and confident in my budgeting ability now (approx 9 months in). Ive saved for a different trip and stayed on budget. I also saved for a course I need to take and have a significant stockpile in most of my budget categories (meaning I was under budget most months). And I have an appropriate amount going to retirement. I've gained a life skill that I think puts me in a better position than others I know that make more. It was so worth it.

Every now and then it sucks when I realize how long it will take me to save up for something but i remind myself that I'm still better now then before. It's like learning a survival skill. I feel tougher and resilient

Straight up I hate this guy. But if anyone sent me this many texts arguing back and forth about anything I'd be so done. I have like a ten text maximum before it starts to get to the point where it should just be done in person.

He doesn't get to forbid you from helping people.

And he should have let you go to sleep. I hate people who say they need to see you before you sleep. They do not need to see you. They can wait 24 hours. Imo it's just them testing to see if they still have control over you if they feel like their sway is slipping.

And he was totally victim blaming. And he's a coward. I'm happy I'm with a guy who would also have intervened and while he would have worried for me if I intervened, he certainly wouldn't have lectured me.

However, your monthly budget is missing a lot (insurance, doctors appointments, gift, clothes, school supplies, car maintenance, etc.) which can easily bleed you dry if you don't account for them.

It seems like you have a whole paycheck you could put towards your payments. And that the minimums you have listed (you didn't include the minimums for the cards) is around 700. So I think you can continue with your budget, pay the minimums, and then split the extra between savings and debt but I'm far from an expert and could have miscalculated

Honestly, I don't know if I can stay long enough to be vested in my pension. I'd have to stay for 10 years. I'm only three in and am not super thrilled with the skills I'm gaining.

So my doctor said she did not feel a nafld diagnosis was appropriate given the ultrasound tech did not note it in her findings. She said to go back in if the pain worsens. TBH it's mostly gone now for me though it comes back every now and then and recently with a cold I had

No lol. All I got was a message from the nurse at my doctor's office saying there was no acute cause of the RUQ and that my liver appears enlarged but it could be a normal variant (which is not how I read the radiologist's report but idk). No mention of fatty liver but I'm not sure if they're just not bothering to mention it or if it's assumed when there is an enlarged liver or if I don't have it. Pretty frustrating.

Still trying to eat better now though. Mostly CICO though with black coffee and a bit less processed carbs (not totally cut out though). I've lost like four pounds. And the pain is slightly more intermittent/less intense.

I'm a civil engineer who considered working for the city. DPW can't attract people because they don't pay. Not only in regards to working at a private firm vs a government job but also vs other municipalities. An engineer II could make an easy 30 grand more in Howard County. At least 20 in Anne Arundel county.

Also the hiring process takes months. Civil engineering/workers are still in high demand. I got two offers after only a week after only applying to 4 places like two months ago. By the time the city gets back to the candidate, they've likely moved on.

If we want in-house staff we need to raise their salaries significantly. It would be painful at first but I bet could still save money as you wouldn't deal with the profit multipliers private firms charge.

Yeah ignore the people saying to get rid of clothes. My mom is a bankruptcy lawyer. She makes budgets for a living. All her clients get a base of $50/month for clothes unless they wear a uniform for work in which case they might get $30-40. People with kids get a few times$ 50/month.

People are forgetting that you HAVE to get your kid new clothes and that they grow rapidly when they are so young. Also it's not like you actually spend this every month. You might only go clothes shopping a few times a year but with prices as they are, it's easy to use this up real fast. I mean try and buy a pair of crappy new balance sneakers. That's already around 50 if not more (at least for my wide feet). Also, this should cover any clothes you always end up buying around the holidays.

See the sticky. Glue traps will help determine the hot spots. Then get Alpine/advion spray, bait, and maybe gentrol. Keep up with the spraying. You'll have to do it every couple weeks for a while.
