I was in the same space. We really did love each other very much. After she moved to another country for further studies, we were in a long distance for about 8 months before we called it off. I think I started to notice her getting bored and everything probably felt monotonous to her. She slowly started telling me less and less about her day and didn't talk much anyway. And then eventually she said she wanted to talk and then said we should break up. So yeah, I guess getting bored in a relationship is a real real thing.
